congratulations on your second pregnancy. I know that they are both great hospitals...I've been in Boca Community & I loved it, as well. However, my daughter had to go to West Boca, & they staff was just as good. In fact, one of my friends, Donna Davis, works as a Neonatal Nurse in West Boca. She is fabulous! if you have the change to meet her, tell I referred you. I'm so glad to hear that your daughter is doing well & pray that both of your children will be happy & healthy. How far along are you? I wish you & your husband the best & look forward to hearing the outcome of both of your children. ~ A.
Hello T.,
My friend used to work there, so she was with us through our delivery. The staff is great. The food is good too! I had a scheduled c-section, so I don't know about regular delivery, but the delivery rooms looked really nice! Good luck!
I had my daughter at west boca, and she was premature! I had her at 23 1/2 weeks and she was only 1 pound 7 ounces, and spent 105 days in the NICU there. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at west boca! From my emergency admission, to the twice daily visits, they were amazing! Even the receptionists were delightful! They have the BEST Neonatologists and nursing staff, I would not go anywhere else! If you have any other questions, feel free to email me.....we still visit on a monthly basis and Kayla is 11 months old now. :) V.
I had both my children at West Boca and absolutely loved it!!!! My son needed to stay for a week and the nurses were all very nice and caring. I would definitley recommend it!

My best friend had all three of her babies at West Boca and loved it. She even drove all the way from Lake Worth with her last one 3 years ago.. K.
We too loved Boca Community Hospital and delivered both of our boys there. It's comfortable, friendly, convenient safe.... I can go on and on. The have a great NICU as well. We've been to both hospitals (did I say that we have boys?) and my general feeling is that Boca Community *seems* smaller, more intimate and friendlier. West Boca is *much* larger; there's a lot more going on and I felt like didn't seem as important in the grand scheme of things. I'll second what the last commenter said, that if you have a choice, Boca Community is not that far up Glades Rd. I'd take their tour as well and see which you prefer. (I'd also ask your OB-GYN's opinion. Both of our OB's preferred Boca Community, but our pediatricians prefer West Boca)
Now that I've given *my* opinion, that largeness that made me feel less important comes with a bonus; West Boca is where you will be sent from Boca Community if there are serious complications or anything with your delivery. They are, according to the staff at Boca Community, better equipped for emergencies, with a larger staff of specialists available around the clock. (Probably why our pediatricians prefer them.)
So I think that you're going to be fine either way <g>.
I went to Boca Community hospital and I loved it!!!!!!!!
They were so nice, I had preterm contractions twice so I was in the hospital for a couple of days each time before I delivered and I loved it!
THere is so much space for your husband to sleep if he wants to stay with you, helpful nurses, its clean, I just can't say enough nice things.
I don't know about Boca West but if Boca community is a choice I would considerate it.
Good Luck with what ever you choose!
