Update-
It was awesome. Like staying in a hotel, seriously. Wonderful staff. Everyone was so nice and they don't bombard you all the time. I wasn't woken up to do vitals, ete. Very secure and clean. Didn't smell like a hospital. Didn't look so much like a hospital. They have alarm bands on the babies that will disable the elevators if they are too close; and set off sirens if close to any exit. They check arm bands like saying hello. There are cameras in the room for them to monitor everything but you can turn them off. Not noisy at all. It was a wonderful experience. My baby never left the room except when I asked one time for a shower and nap. They do all the tests and even bathe the baby in the room with you. My children were included in the first bath and loved it. The nurse encouraged them to help dress the baby. The food wasn't bad and the snacks where good cookies, crackers and drinks, not just juice and jello. The nurses were on the ball with everything. They knew before entering my room everything they needed to; not having to go check my chart to answer my questions. I can't think of one bad thing. I didn't want to leave.lol
I am going to be induced on Aug.3rd at Baylor Frisco if little one doesn't decide on a sooner date; so I will let you know. I delivered at MC of Plano last time and it was fine but Baylor seems more hospitality oriented and that is what I want. The babies stay in the rooms and mom has say on everything. Meals are nicer, and the rooms themselves are not hospital decor. MC of Plano has the best NICU in the area, but I am not in the situation to have that weigh hevily on my decision. My child will be ambulanced to MC of Plano if something unexpected happens. Take the tour of both and see which one feels right. Congrats and good luck. It was such a hard decision to make on the hospital; I am hoping I made the right one. We'll see :)
