Have any of you delivered at Baylor Frisco? I'm looking for honest opinions as I have to make a decision between Baylor Frisco and Plano Presby. I delivered my first (17 months ago) at Plano Presby and it was a great experience. Amazing rooms, food, breast feeding consultation, etc. Of course, my doctor is really building up Baylor Frisco, but I also know that it is physician owned and that she has a personal investment in that facility and it's success. She says it shares all the same anesthesiologists as Plano Presby and can handle some NICU issues (not near what Plano Presby can handle), but that the rooms and service apparently outshine Plano Presby. I kind of find that hard to believe, but plan to take a tour to see. Anyway, I'd like any opinions or personal experiences from moms who have delivered at BAYLOR FRISCO. Thank you!!!

What can I do next?

Girls,

I delivered my first one 4 years ago at Medical Center of Plano. Nurses were great, but room was so so. My OB delivers at both MC and Baylor Frisco, and she told me this hospital is like a 5 star hotel, and they have nice open house every week that I should definately go and check it out. She also said that doctors at that hospital are selected by invitations only and they will then select their own nurse. Howeverm she didn't tell me that's a doctors owned hospital.

I am interested to know someone's true experiences too.

BTW, I am due in Oct. What about yours?

Update-
It was awesome. Like staying in a hotel, seriously. Wonderful staff. Everyone was so nice and they don't bombard you all the time. I wasn't woken up to do vitals, ete. Very secure and clean. Didn't smell like a hospital. Didn't look so much like a hospital. They have alarm bands on the babies that will disable the elevators if they are too close; and set off sirens if close to any exit. They check arm bands like saying hello. There are cameras in the room for them to monitor everything but you can turn them off. Not noisy at all. It was a wonderful experience. My baby never left the room except when I asked one time for a shower and nap. They do all the tests and even bathe the baby in the room with you. My children were included in the first bath and loved it. The nurse encouraged them to help dress the baby. The food wasn't bad and the snacks where good cookies, crackers and drinks, not just juice and jello. The nurses were on the ball with everything. They knew before entering my room everything they needed to; not having to go check my chart to answer my questions. I can't think of one bad thing. I didn't want to leave.lol

I am going to be induced on Aug.3rd at Baylor Frisco if little one doesn't decide on a sooner date; so I will let you know. I delivered at MC of Plano last time and it was fine but Baylor seems more hospitality oriented and that is what I want. The babies stay in the rooms and mom has say on everything. Meals are nicer, and the rooms themselves are not hospital decor. MC of Plano has the best NICU in the area, but I am not in the situation to have that weigh hevily on my decision. My child will be ambulanced to MC of Plano if something unexpected happens. Take the tour of both and see which one feels right. Congrats and good luck. It was such a hard decision to make on the hospital; I am hoping I made the right one. We'll see :)

I had 2 deliveries at Presby Plano, but my last delivery there wasn't so pleasant. I am thinking about Baylor Frisco - I have actually heard from others that it IS nicer than Presby Plano. You should check it out online: http://www.bmcf.com/women/Default.htm

What doctor do you use? I am considering Dr. Suzette Boyd.

BTW, you can email me at ____@____.com if you'd like.

I am due in August and had the choice of those two hospitals. Baylor sounded great but since my 2 year old was in NICU for 2 weeks when he was born I decided that the Level III NICU was more important to me than how nice the hospital was. I delivered my son at Medical Center of Plano and had a great experience and I hear that Plano Presby is even better. My vote is for a larger more equipped hospital.
