I know this isnt right or the right way to lose, but anyone tried and succeeded in quickweight loss of upto 25 pounds in a month?
I know the healthy way is two pounds a week, but need to lose a bit more than that for a big event.
Any ideas, or I will stick with my cardio!
Thanks

Hi! After I had both of my daughters, my doctor prescribed me with a diet pill that works wonders!!! With my first pregnancy I gained 75 lbs and was up to 200 lbs!!! With this pill I lost all of it in 5-6 months! My second daughter is almost 6 mos old and I've lost all of the 50 lbs that I gained with her! I didn't work out at all. Just moving around with a 2 yr old and 6 month old! Although I could still benefit from working out, this pill got me back to my pre pregnancy weight both times! It's called Phentermine. One week I lost 8 lbs! My doctor actually does a weight loss clinic where you can get these after seeing him. His name is Dr. Sam Yunez and he's out of Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park or Elmhurst Hospital. Good luck!

I think 25 lbs. in one month is unheard of, but I have lost 17 lbs. in one month using Phentermine. I think another thread talked about it, but you need to get a prescription from a doctor for it (I guess you can get it online without one, but be very wary of that as you could be getting a phony, unsafe product) I have been on phentermine for 3 months now and I have lost 32 lbs. I lost 17 lbs. the first month. I haven't lost as much since, but I haven't been going as hard core as I was the first month.
If you don't do the phentermine route, I have read that Hoodia is a good appetite suppresant. I haven't tried it. Do cardio like it's going out of style, and avoid carbs as much as possible and drink only water (no diet soda or anything else). That will help you shed the weight and burn fat.

I did Body for Life a few years back. I didn't really chart my wieght loss, but in one month I went from a size 8/10 to a solid 6 and even got a few size 4 dresses. The book is a pretty quick read (as opposed to the Atkins book) and it (in my opinion) is safer for your body. It is a fairly strict diet and exercise program, but is easy and not very time consuming (45 minutes a day max for the workouts) and you get one day a week off. The exercise program rotates days between weights and cardio, both interval training. You will be sore for the first 3 weeks! Rather than focusing on weight loss it is more about toning your body, since you are builidng muscle and for myself and my friend, who did it with me, the results were very quick and were fabulous and really lasted. I stopped doing the diet after about 6 months, but kept with the workouts and was able to keep my toned body.

I am actually planning on starting it again starting next month to get back in shape and get my abs back.

Good Luck.

Hi M. M
I have not lost 25 lbs in a mths time but I did lose 9 lbs in a 12 day period doing the Fat Flush and One Day Detox diet.

They both restrict your diet to lean meats, greens and cruciferous veggies to cleanse your liver. Also requires that you add extra virgin olive oil and flaxseed to your regular diet. Along with the addition of fiber powder in a cranberry drink. All inlcluded in both the books.

The One Day Detox Diet is actually an 11 day process:7 days of eating what is outlined in the book as acceptable to prepare your body for the 1 day detox diet. Then 3 days to 'cement' your results, particular foods required to add to your diet during these 3 days.

Everybodys body is different but you may have the success you desire.

I'm about to embark on the journey starting tomorrow.

Best of luck to you.

It is not healthy to do this so you really can not make a habit of it. I here AVON has a new diet product that is $20. and works great for adding energy. I have not personally tried it but one of my fellow reps was telling me about a couple of the other reps that are using it. They actually had to cut down on how much they were using because it was giving them too much energy.

Do not quit eating but eat more meals just smaller portions for most of them. This will help build your metabolism and then exercise is great. Make sure your not over doing it to the point where you are constantly sore because you could end up causing more damage than good. Use exercises that will make you sweat the most with the least likely hood of damage. If you get hurt in the process then you'll end up weighing more during your special event. It is better to not make it to your actaul goal than to have hurt yourself and accomplishing just the opposite.

Good Luck!

Cut your carbs and you'll drop weight quickly. No bread, pasta, sugar, etc. The Atkins diet is the stict version...you can go online or get his book...I dropped almost 20 pounds in 8 weeks and it stayed off. I eat more "good carbs" now - whole grain pasta instead of white...easy switches that don't make you feel deprived. You should only do this short term though...it works, but your body needs carbs, especially if you're nursing or doing a lot of cardio. Keep your cardio going as best you can and drink lots of water...Good luck!
