I had a beautiful daughter in December and I am completely frustrated with the weight loss. She is my second child and I am sure that has somehting to do with it but I can not drop the last 5lbs. I breastfed for 6 months and the wieght loss just stopped. I would really like to lose a total of 10lbs and get rid of the mommy tummy. I work 40 hours a week and work out at least 3 days a week. Any tips that anyone has found successful outside of programs where you have to buy food?

What can I do next?

I loved Weight Watchers on-line where I could track what I was eating and it would keep a daily log. I could do it while I was at work and there is no outside food to buy.

Another free option is Spark people- but I found that to be more helpful after I had been reprogramed on weight watchers.

I have been doing Weight Watchers' online only program (I also work and don't have time for meetings) since May and love it. It really kicked my weight loss into gear and I'm learning to pay a lot more attention to what I'm eating. There are no restrictions on what you can eat ... it's up to you how you use your points, which I love.

Good luck!

Have you thought about the HCG diet? I just started in on Saturday and am down 6 lbs. You can find information online about it. Good luck!

I'm not into dieting but having a healthy diet will kick those last 10lbs fast. You really need to watch what goes into your mouth and ask yourself do I need this and is it the best choice. Then you really have to make you 3 workouts count. Try wearing a heartrate monitor and making sure you keep you heartrate high throughout your workout. I try to stay between 150-180 for at least 30-45mins but constantly changing the workout. I run, row on the machine, bike, and crosstrain

Food tips: My rule is anything green (lot of veggies), lean protein (chicken or fish for me), very few carbs, and fruit (too much sugar), no dairy

I was 5'2 and 128 pre-pregnancy and now 16months post I'm 118 lbs. My lowest was 115 at 5 months post.

As for the tummy even at 115 it was still there. All the trainers that I have talked to say it is diet related. I really stuck to my diet and still couldn't get rid of it so I said forget about it. You can't be perfect.

Vague health journal, including my activity and weight every day, how I felt, if I ate pretty well or blew it, etc. I lost my baby weight plus about 18 pounds in the 13+ months I nursed, but most of the weight loss was in the first six or seven months. I did struggle with adjusting my eating with weaning as your body needs about 500 more calories per day for exclusive breastfeeding, so you might really need to look at your calories, servings, and food groups. I never bought special food because people can and should be healthy eating normal food their family can eat. I make sure I eat an easy but decent breakfast and bring most of my fruits and veggies to work so I can spread them out. If I bring most of my food to work I know I won't eat too much or too little but can spread out healthy food. I also try to exercise or walk on my lunch breaks because it is too hard to do at home now.

Drink several cups of Mummy magic weight loss tea the entire day and you'll see the great results. I have lost 35 pounds from my body just in a couple of months without losing my breast milk supply and metabolism.

Eat a good breakfast (including some protein). Protein helps you feel fuller longer, so getting some in each meal is a definite plus.

I agree about really looking at what you're eating - empty calories anywhere?

Park the car a decent ways away from the office front door, the grocery store, even the gym. You'll get added exercise just walking to and from your car. I've also heard of those that bench-press or do yoga with their babies. Something maybe you can do at home with your baby girl ater a long day's work.
