I have a friend who goes to Sears for her boys shoes. If they wear out you get a new pair to replace them in the same size . Hope this helps:)
Hi Moms -
My 2 1/2 year old daughter is wearing through her gym shoes within about a month. She's some what of a tomboy and I think that she is on the cement and floor at daycare and wears through the tip. Does anyone have any suggestions of shoes for girls that are more sturdy? This is getting costly and it looks like her shoes are really old when they are actually pretty new.
Thanks all! We have bought pretty good quality shoes - she has wider feet so, it pends on the shoe - but have tried New Balance the most. I think we'll have to try Stide Rite. It sounds like this has worked well for many of you!

I have to second Stride Rite.
It's no fun to have to pay $40-50 for a pair of shoes, but you really do get what you pay for.
My DS (3) is HELL on his shoes, and 1 pair of Stride Rites will last through an entire season beautifully. I've tried Payless, Target and other cheaper brands, and they're out of commission in a month or two.
New Balance are known for holding up well. If she wears out those you are in trouble LOL. I would go with Sears so that they will replace them.
Is she wearing them out in a particular spot? Maybe you should make sure her foot development is ok.
Stride Rite carries many brands. Just because you are buying there does not mean jack. The Stride Rite brand itself are just normal decent shoes - nothing super sturdy or anything. Much better than Target or Walmart but similar to New Balance.
.
Keen shoes are really good. The hold up vey well and are durable.
You didn't mention where you got the shoes, or what brand, but sometimes the cheaply made ones (like at Walmart) are not worth it, because they don't last that long. I get my daughter's sneakers from a Stride Rite outlet store. They are more expensive because they are Stride Rite but getting them from the outlet store helps ($20 or $30 instead of $50). She plays hard too but the sneakers hold up. And she gets measured so I know she is getting the proper fit. The only time I've had to get new ones is when she outgrew the old ones.
One word Striderite....better quality shoes last a long way.
Go to Stride Rite. They'll make sure they fit and that she has a little room to grow.
My oldest son did that. Buy Stride Rite from a Stride Rite store. They will replace them until the shoe is outgrown.
What brand of shoes are you buying her? We've been able to pass down nikes ad new balance sneakers. Don't buy for style, color, or how cute and pretty they are buy practical ones if you aren't already.
