How long was it before u started showing (if u had 3 or more)?? I am about 6 wks along (if u go by my last period, which are so irregular its crazy). We will find out exactly how far along we r come Dec. 17th. With our first two, we didn't KNOW we were prgnant till I was already 3+ monthes along. I had no signs that I was pregnant. Well w/ this one my breast started to hurt constantly, so I took the test. And now I don't look like I'm really pregnant, but I have a lil belly. If I'm not that far along (going by my period), should I really start "showing"? Not that I'm worried or anything.
I've had 4 children and started showing a bit earlier with each successive pregnancy. Everything is looser inside so it's common to show earlier than with a previous one. Like you, I was several weeks along before realizing I was pregnant - it's easy to miss the signs when you a busy chasing little people all day.

congrats mama! i'm 25 and pregnant with my third also... it took forever to show with the first two... this kid made my belly pop almost immediately! at first i just looked like i had a big lunch, lol... but then i swear i woke up one day and it was like BABY BUMP!! i'm totally all belly. i hated being pregnant the first two times, and for some reason, this has been a breeze :) GOOD LUCK WITH THAT BELLY!

I have 3 kids and each time I started showing earlier , with my 1st I was 20+ weeks before I looked pregnant , with #2 I was around 15/16 wks and with #3 I looked pregnant and had to start wearing maternity clothes at 10 wks , I was a little concerned at just how big I was going to get seeing as I was showing so early but it slowed down and by the time I was at the point where they measure the bump I was measuring correctly for the amount of weeks that I was. I think the reason you start showing ealier with each pregnancy is because everything is already looser and stretched from the previous time.

lol I find myself asking the same question, I'm pregnant with my number 2 at the moment and just found out about it on the 21st. I'm only about 6 weeks along too and I started having symptoms a couple weeks ago, my boobs were crazy swollen and tender, my mood was swinging around like a monkey in the rafters and I've been able to smell things from a mile away nearly from the moment of conception which is totally unlike my previous pregnancy where nothing happened until the second month. So the way I see it, anything can happen :o)
My oldest were 5 and 7 when I found out I was pregnant with our 3rd. We're pretty sure we conceived right at Christmas, I tested around January 12th. I SWEAR a week after I tested I was up almost 2 sizes in my jeans. lol. Your body knows what it's doing now and will do these things to you. Relax and eat healthy (I know, hard to do this time of year! lol)but enjoy the holidays with out going too overboard. : )

I only have 2 so far, but I can say that with my second, people started questioning if I was pregnant when I was about 6 weeks along. I don't know if my muscles were just more relaxed or I was just carrying him differently. People constantly asked if I was having twins, but it was just one big boy. Good luck in your pregnancy.
hi A., like everyone is saying w/subsequent pregnancies you do have a tendency to show earlier. i actually am 14 weeks pregnant w/number 4 and definitely noticed early on:) thankfully enough, i had lost most of the pregnancy weight from baby #3. but as a side note, i bet you are having a girl:) my boobs hurt and were so tender w/my first pregnancy, and sure enough she was a girl and i was sick until 6 months w/her. w/the other two, no pain in the boobs and i was sick only till my 3rd or 4th month. same goes w/this pregnancy.. but good luck and please post if and when you do find out about the sex of the baby. i'm just curious if my hunch is right:)
In my second pregnancy my abs relaxed pretty much right away so I had a loose little pooch that hadn't been so bad before. Eventually the pooch got filled with baby and now it doesn't look bad. (I know you asked about three or more pregnancies, but I had twins the first time so my muscles were VERY stretched - I was measured at 51 centimeters at the end instead of the usual 40.)
I hadn't had children before, but I was having the same symptoms as you- and found out I was carrying twins. Good luck!
A., everybody is different. And every pregnancy is different. I found that in general I did show earlier with my later pregnancies.

When I was 1st preg with both my kids, I had a lil belly bunp already...so ya I was the same. Brand new preg and looked a lil more swollen!
I hear it from alot of others...and the 3rd preg is way diff from the others so, makes sense!

Your abdominal muscles don't hold on as tight with subsequent pregnancies and you show earlier.
Overall, your body remembers and adapts more quickly.
