I have used all of the products and they all work eventually. Just a choice between convenience, mess and money. Obviously the best and fastest way is to have the doctor freeze them off. There is also an over the counter product that freezes them off, I think it is called Freeze-Off. It will work, but not after only one application. A little scary, because you have to be careful and only touch the wart. The least messy is the wart bandaids and you generally want a bandaid on the warts during the removal time anyway, because they can look disgusting. But depending on where the wart is, it can be difficult to keep bandaids from coming off and it will take several weeks. Compound W (or any generic) will also work, but can be messy and take several weeks. Sometimes there can be a painful stinging sensation from the freeze off or Compound W, so if your kid is sensitive you might want to try some of the natural remedies first or the bandaids. I like to get rid of them as fast as possible (but don't want to have to go to the doctor), so I usually use a combination of all three over-the-counter products. I use freeze off, then cover with a wart bandaid. Or if it is a fairly large wart, I use freeze off, Compound W and a wart bandaid. Best to do this after a shower or after soaking the wart in water to soften and must be done every day for at least a week or more.
