Start with Compound W and follow the directions. Soaking and filing the warts and applying the CW every day really make a difference. Also supplement with zinc. You can get chewable tablets. I can't remember how much I gave my son but once we really stayed on top of the CW and added zinc, his stubborn warts cleared up in a couple of weeks. He had had them for over a year and we did treatments at the doctor's office, duct tape etc. and none of them really knocked them out. The CW and zinc cleared up everything and they've been gone for a few months now.

I soaked a cotton ball with apple cider vinegar and then put that under a bandaid on the wart overnight. After about a week or so the wart(s) fell off.

My son had 2 on his feet and his doctor said to buy the wart remover tabs/bandages and change them in the am and pm for 2 weeks straight or until the wart fell off. It worked like a charm.

My daughter had one a few years ago. After trying Compound W for a long time, we had the pediatrician freeze it off. That did the trick.

Our doctor recommended salicylic acid (generic for compound W?). It was less than $6.

We did the Salcylic Acid at night after filing each one down (He had about six or eight!). Then put duct tape on and left it for days, replacing as needed. We did this for about two weeks +/- leaving the duct tape off for one day a week. It worked like a charm!!!! They are all gone and we tried everything! This was the only thing that worked after two years of warts. Some of the mamas on here recommended it. :)

Get the moleskin patches at the pharmacy that you cut to size, apt after shower, cover with a bandaid.

My son had a toe wart we could not freeze or patch off. We started swimming everyday at the begining of summer and in 3 weeks that wart disappeared. We were not using other remedies.

I have used all of the products and they all work eventually. Just a choice between convenience, mess and money. Obviously the best and fastest way is to have the doctor freeze them off. There is also an over the counter product that freezes them off, I think it is called Freeze-Off. It will work, but not after only one application. A little scary, because you have to be careful and only touch the wart. The least messy is the wart bandaids and you generally want a bandaid on the warts during the removal time anyway, because they can look disgusting. But depending on where the wart is, it can be difficult to keep bandaids from coming off and it will take several weeks. Compound W (or any generic) will also work, but can be messy and take several weeks. Sometimes there can be a painful stinging sensation from the freeze off or Compound W, so if your kid is sensitive you might want to try some of the natural remedies first or the bandaids. I like to get rid of them as fast as possible (but don't want to have to go to the doctor), so I usually use a combination of all three over-the-counter products. I use freeze off, then cover with a wart bandaid. Or if it is a fairly large wart, I use freeze off, Compound W and a wart bandaid. Best to do this after a shower or after soaking the wart in water to soften and must be done every day for at least a week or more.

Both of my sons have had a wart frozen at the doctors office, and one treatment did the trick.

Folic acid supplement. I'm not kidding.

My daughter's good friend is a doctor, and she told her to take one folic acid tablet a day with her other vitamins to get rid of warts on her feet. My daughter didn't think it would work, because she had tried everything, including having a dermatologist freeze them off (they came back). Well the folic acid worked in less than a month. I'm wondering why more doctors don't recommend this. Might want to give that a try. Warts can be stubborn.
