Have you ever tried Aldi diapers? (Nanny's) I LOVED them for my son.
I hate to give O. dime to WalMart.
I used to use Luvs, until I realized how much cheaper Up and Up (Target) diapers were...bought one box to give them a try, and I liked them better than Luvs. No leaking, fit right, inexpensive, etc.
Now I am about ready to boycott Target because of my own reasons (our store is just going downhill, terrible customer service, etc) and want to switch to WalMart for my household shopping, but I have no experience with their store brand diapers (Parent's Choice, I think?) Wondering if anyone has experience with these.
The only other generic things I buy are tissue, paper plates, plastic baggies, etc...any experience with WalMart on these and if they're good enough?
Thanks!
Thanks so far for the positive feedback!! Just what I wanted to hear!!! :)
Never really considered Aldi's because after I did a price per diaper (they are such small packages) they really aren't that cheap...but maybe I'll check again to see if I did my math right. I do shop at Aldi's a lot.

We just switched to the Walmart brand of diapers and I love them! Haven't had any problems at all! And you can't beat the price! I will be sticking to those for now on!
The Wal-mart diapers were fine. I really had no preference for diapers. I went for whatever brand was on sale or whatever brand I had a coupon for. I also buy generic for most of the other items you listed, and have never had any problems.
I used to use them, but quit after my son kept leaking through them. I had one box where the elastic on the legs kept breaking and my son ended up with a terrible diaper rash. They were fine during the day as long as I could change him frequently. I am all for generic, but not with the Walmart diapers.
I use target diapers (cause i shop there) but have used Walmart brand with my baby. They were great, If I am at walmart and need diapers I buy those verses pampers/Huggies.
I haven't tried the Parent's Choice, but have tried Walgreen's brand diapers with no problems. I have friends that use the Walmart brand and like them. I'd just buy the smallest pack available and give it a try. Worst case you are out maybe $8 if you don't like them.
I was a diaper snob until wal mart changed the "recipe" for the parents choice diapers 2 1/2 years ago-I am SO glad we switched!!!!!! Pampers and huggies are nice but why buy the more expensive diapers when you can get some that work just as well for several dollars cheaper? Plus they are thinner and didn't irritate my daughters skin like the ultra thin pampers.! This baby will definietly be wearing the cheap diapers-and proudly!!!
I LOVE THEM! They work just as good if not better than the higher priced brands! ToysRUs brand is also good!
It has been about 2 years since I have bought the Parents Choice diapers but I did use them and they worked great...and I was a Luvs person before that too!
Their diaper wipes and generic purple lid (equivalent to Johnson&Johnson, love the way that one smells) baby shampoo & lotion is good too!
~I shop at 'WallyWorld' as my husband calls it and use almost all the generic paper products you listed above and they are all good...the only one I do not use b/c I do not think it is as good is their tissue/toilet paper.
I love Walmart diapers. My kids both wear them and have never had any problems.
When my daughters were in diapers I used whichever was cheaper - Walmart, Sam's Members' Mark, or Toys R Us. They were all the same to me.
I used them years ago, they were fine for me! I'm assuming they haven't changed too much.
You might also look at places like Big lots they have close outs
We used to use Luvs and switched to Parents Choice. I really like them! When we first switched I wasn't fond, but they changed them and now they are great! Give it a shot!
I used Best Choice when we headed into potty training. Much cheaper, & didn't hold as much....which aided in training!
I think it really depends on your child and how they are shaped. It has been a few years since we have had to buy diapers. When my son was a newborn, I tried 3-4 different brands of diapers. For him, Pampers was the only brand that did not leak. Fraom that point, I never bought any other diaper for my kids.
I would try the Wal-Mart diapers. If they work well and don't leak, I would go for it.
I've used Walmart diapers and love them as well, especially since they've improved them. But in the last year I've been following couponing websites and chasing the deals, so I've tried various other diapers. Walmart diapers are never on sale (for much less) and I never find coupons for them. But if you combine sales and coupons, you can get other brands for much cheaper. My best price was 8 Jumbo Packs of Walgreens diapers for $2.50 each! Walgreens and CVS are frequently BOGO. Google diaper deals for websites that find the cheapest diaper price each week, and stock up!
I hate to admit it, but I love most of the Walmart brand things that I have tried. Baggies, baby wipes, trash bags, paper plates, butter, milk, cheese, chips, canned veggies and beans, even coffee believe it or not. Oh, not to mention, their frozen pizza's aren't bad either! I tried their diapers 5 years ago and thought that they were just okay. Their pull ups are just fine, we used those 2 years ago. I might just try their diapers again for my 1 year old son though based on the feedback that I read here.
That is what I used and they the only brand that did not leak. Loved them!
I used parents choice diapers, wipes and formula quite a bit with my kids, no complaints really. I use a lot of generic products and very few complaints. But do compare prices because I often find the brand name can be a better deal when there is a sale or coupon....
I will state that those diapers even hold up to a 5 year old's messes. We switched recently because honestly with a child that old in diapers you need the best buy you can get. They do occasionally leak but all diapers do. They do not give my sensitive son any type of rash or issues whatsoever.
LOVE Walmart diapers! They fit great, CHEAP, and dont leak!
I never used their diapers, but I did use their wipes. They were better than any other brand of wipes that I used. You might want to give those a try, too.
I never bought name brand diapers. We used the generic Smiths (Krogers) diapers. I think they came out to .19 cents each.
I tend to go store brand on a lot of stuff. My baby was in the hospital for so long and just got so used to using Pampers that we bought them for months before I finally said enough was enough. I tried Parent's Choice and I personally didn't like them. I also tried CVS brand because someone had suggested them, and they were terrible! Leaked sooo bad! I LOVE target brand for this little guy, however, I used them for a previous child in my care (foster son) and they were awful for him. I think diapers work different with different kids!
Good luck!
