I'm currently looking for something to bring in extra money. If it has the potential to some day possibly subsitute what I take home now, that would be good to, but I understand it may not.
I've done a lot of looking and am having difficutly finding something that will work for me. I might be picky, but here's what I'm looking for (I'm not trying to be snotty about my stipulations, but I have done research and know what will work form me and my family:
Money's tight, so I need something with a relatively low start-up cost.
If it's direct selling - I need to be able to get started with out hitting up my family and friends. Most of my family and friends are at a stage where money is a little tighter and I won't have the success of starting if this is the rout I go. If it's a good product they'll want to know more on their own.
I'm not interested in Melluca products- though it may be a great product, I'm have done a lot of reading and listened to the presentation. It's not going to work for my family.
If you have any opportunities that fit this and have had success yourself, please share with me.

I sent you a message I didn't know how to delete this one???
Hi T.! I signed up with Heritage Makers. It's online digital storybooking. Four main reasons that I signed up with them..
1. They're groundfloor but are financially set...the technology boom is coming and THIS is the place to be!
2. Online scrapbooking. Holy cow. Scrapping is a HUGE $$ industry, but the mom and pop stores are closing, 90% of people have digital cameras...people don't have time and are converting to digital.
3. I am able to sell to businesses, so I'm not just selling in the evening,or even to friends and family. Actually friends and family are coming to me now that I've been doing this for almost a year.
4. We don't have quotas, pressure from home office, etc. They are very, very family friendly.
Those are the things I looked at. Not sure if those are important to you or if you have other things you're looking for. If you have high speed and like computer, scrapping, photos, graphics - believe in stories and the power story has to make a difference in someone's life...then check out my website at www.LetsGetBookin.com and call me! I love not having inventory and I can't replace the difference I make in bringing families together.
Either way..best of luck to you in your search! I applaud your desire to check them all out. (-:
I have done PartyLite for 4 years. I believe it is the only direct selling company with no start up costs. I started because of that - I could try it and see if I like it - if not, I wasn't out anything. You can make $25-40 an hour doing in home parties, so it really is a good option to think about. You are your own boss, so you decide when and how often to do parties.
I tried the assemble products at home and a couple other things - all wanted money and weren't very appealing products. PartyLite candles are something people want to order again and again when they run out of candles. Consider a consumable product when looking at anything like this.
I would love to answer any other questions you have. PartyLite has been around for 35 years. It's a strong company that offers a lot of support and incentives. Check out www.partylite.biz/kristipingel
I hope you find something perfect for you!
