need help let me know I am a seamstress
My daughter is the Virgin Mary in her school Christmas program this year. Besides a potato sack dress and a shawl around he head, I am not sure what to do. Anyone have some suggestions?
Thanks!

Thanks so much for the websites. I was not smart enough to think that costume shops would make them. I ordered one on-line and hope to get it soon!!

I think that pretty much covers it. I'd google "virgin mary costumes" and see what pictures they have, but I think it's a pretty simple costume. Congrats :)
Maybe make a little halo out of gold wrapping paper or something similar....?
I am not sure where you live, but you may check US Toy located at Independence and Parker in Plano. Once in a blue moon, they will get in things like this. Another option would be to check the Halloween clearance isle at Party City. Downtown Plano has a costume shop, but they can be pricey. There are places online, as well. But, I do like the ideas of others.
You can order one from Oriental Trading that is inexpensive. www.orientaltrading.com Do a search on "Mary." They have an adult costume for only $13. You could shorten it to fit.
If your daughter needs sleepwear, this would be a good time to purchase a flannel gown. Any color shawl or scarf tied from the shoulder, across the chest and to the opposite hip makes a pretty good "Mary" costume.
