To a "T", you've described Dr. Tracey Speight at Presby Dallas. She delivered my first son by C, but told me I'm a candidate for VBAC next go around. She is young, cool and relaxed!
I had a c-section with my child, and I think it was unnecessary. I will be changing doctors for the birth of my second. Can you recommend an OB who is open to VBAC. I also would like a young female who is affiliated with Presby-Dallas or Baylor. Also, what is the possibility of having a VBAC?

If you are open to natural birthing at a birthing center, Lover's Lane Birth Center with Dinah Waranch is great. Everyone I know that is used her LOVES her and I should be having my second baby with her in a few days.

I had unnessasary c-section with my 1st. I wanted a VBAC with my second and two weeks before my two date something inside me told me not to. During c-section #2 my doctor told me that my uterous had attached itself to my abdomen wall and was paper thin and had I attempted a VBAC I would have ruptured. I know many people have had succesful VBAC's but there is a reason why most doctors are not open to it. I really wanted to experience a natural childbirth and am so thankful I chose the C-section last minute. My aunt on the other hand couldn't find a doctor willing to give her a VBAC so instead she waited until she was far enough in labor before heading to the hospital and succesfully delivered her baby vaginally. She is a stubborn one, LOL. I'd Reccomend my doctor, but I just moved from California. Due to my personal experience I would advise you against it, but I'm also a petite 4'11 and my babies were HUGE.
I wish you the best of luck on whichever route you choose!
I would recommend the Dr's at Women to Women or Dr Brothers or Dr. Crochet (they used to be with Women to Women and recently opened up their own office). They are all affiliated with Big Baylor in Dallas. They have one of the lowest c-s rates in the area and I'm pretty sure almost all of them have given birth naturally and unmedicated at the birthing center on Swiss or in hospital (Don't know about Dr. Lawson but the other 3 have). They are the Drs used by that birthing center too for emergencies. I know they are open to vbac -- although I imagine there might be some women who might not be good candidates for vbac. They're also big on doulas, Bradley birthing, etc. and include info on this when you go for your appt. Feel free to contact me w/any questions. I had a really positive experience w/them and know others who have as well.
Have you tried the Allen Birthing Center? Dr. Christensen or Dr. Brothers, who deliver at Baylor Dallas are great too.
God Bless,
A.
I'm not sure about what hospitals she is assoc with or how she feels about VBAC, but I go to Dr.Amy Sigman at Medical City Dallas. I love her. She's young, nice, laid back. She listens to me, that's nice.
Good luck.
Dr. Yolanda Lawson with Woman to Woman works out of Baylor Dallas. She is one of the good ones, who will try her best to get you a VBAC. Also, Susan Akens at Baylor Dallas. She is a midwife in a practice with doctors. Her office is at Baylor, (Women's Health Alliance) ###-###-####. She works with doctors, so if there is a need for a doctor, she has doctors that would be supportive of your desires. I am a childbirth educator and doula. It is possible to have a good experience, if you have the right people supporting you. I would encourage you to get a doula, because that increases your chance of success a great deal. Good luck!
I had a delivery with my first son by C-section and just had a baby girl on November 3rd. My doctor is open to V-Bac's and is wonderful. Her name is Dr. Natalie Light. Her office is Women's Health Central at Presby. ###-###-####) She's wonderful!!! And the nursing staff at Presbny was absolutely the best.
S.,
I saw a response on here about Tracey Speight at Presby Dallas, and while I did not have a VBAC....she delivered my daughter and was absolutely wonderful. She is very relaxed and has a wonderful bedside manner. Her nurse, Ella, is really nice too. (That's important!) Good Luck!

You would have a good shot at VBAC if you contacted Susan Akins and Lindsay Kragle, who practice at Baylor. ###-###-####
As a doula, I attended a VBAC with Susan as the attending care provider in February, and she was GREAT! Really worked with the mom to achieve what she desired, and didn't discourage her.
Tell her D. sent you! I bet she will remember me.
