I think if you put baby power on her hair when it is dry. Just rub it thru her hair to absorb the grease from the vapor rub. Then wash it out with a mild shampoo.
My 1 and 1/2 year old got Baby's Vicks Vapor Rub all over his hair. I tried washing it 3 times already with baby shanpoo, regular shampoo and soap and nothing is working. Is there something better I can you or any suggestions? Please let me know asap. Thanks for all the help!

i would try some baking soda and water.
Baking soda-it gets out everything.
Before you try something as harsh as dishsoap, try putting baby shampoo on her hair *before* you wet it. Lots. Works on mayonnaise. :)
try dish soap. Like dawn.
I would try dish soap to break up the greasies. If that doesnt work I know if we get tar on us at the beach we use another oil to break it down: peanut butter, canola oil, etc. So Maybe?? Then a good shampooing should do it.
blue dawn dish soap. Just the regular original kind.
Do NOT use dish soap, especially DAWN!! In case you weren't aware, dish soaps like Dawn contain formaldehyde and other dangerous chemicals. You do NOT want that seeping into your child's skin, especially in and around his head, eyes, etc!!!!
I'm going with everyone else..Dawn!
I was going to suggest Dawn, too. It gets out the grease.
Dawn Dish Soap! Its amazing how well this works. Our cat fell in Motor oil and the vet told us to use dawn dish soap. In one wash it cleaned his fur nicely. I assume it would work just as well with Vick's! Good Luck!
