There was just an article in Time magazine that addressed the fact that the "problems" with VBAC are overstated and no one seems to focus on the problems with Cesarean birth. If there is an ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) in your area, they can frequently be a source of great information.
There are many websites that have VBAC info, but one that has really good, research based info, is www.lamaze.org. If you go to the expectant parent page, there is a "search lamaze" tab, and when you type in VBAC, it returns a BUNCH of information.
Finding a doctor that is truly willing to do a VBAC can be a challenge. Many say they are willing, but don't really follow through.
