Definately go to McKinney High School. They are GREAT with older kids. Our daughter was 11 when she went and they got her over her fear of going under water as well as taught her to swim in a short period of time.It is VERY affordable! Good luck. She will do FANTASTIC!

Check out McKinney High School. We are about to use them for the third year in a row. Very affordable and great instruction. They teach ALL age ranges/levels. http://legacy.mckinneyisd.net/Campuses/school_websites/mh...

Our city department of Parks and Recreation have swim classes in the summer at very inexpensive prices. In fact if we register the first week in June, they give 1 week of classes for free during the 2nd week in June. I'm not sure about exact dates but in that ballpark.
