Trying to Get Rid of Kids Clothes

IF you go to Once Upon A Child, be sure to arrive early, like when the door opens. Otherwise they get backed up and they want you to take anything they don't want back the same day. I waited 2 hours one afternoon, took the kids and went to Target, but wasn't planningon it!

Also with them I have taken items in much better shape than on the shelves and they did not accept them. A lot of items she just had "too much" of.

I suggest selling on Ebay. I would be happy to explain how to do it, if you need some help, feel free to send a private message. I have had the best luck there.

Try selling them on craigslist.com I've sold a lot of stuff on there! I've also bought a lot of stuff on the site.

I have tried Ebay for clothes, and without tags or large lot for a low price do not waste your time and money. I have had success for other products on ebay, but not untagged gently used clothes. The only clothes that sold well were fancy holiday dresses and coats. Good Luck.
BTW if you have a garage sale, just advertise what you have or try to get together with your neighbors/friends. That is what I do and it helps.

HI N., Use Ebay, there is a small free but you can still make $ and make $ off shipping. Once Upon a Child will take clothes that are not stain or rip, but I find that they only take name brand clothes, and you can still do better on Ebay. When you put the clothes on Ebay, put them in a Lot and start the bid at $.99cent and you will more then likly get more then that for your clothes. Check it out.

Valpo has an annual Kids' Closet sale. this years is coming up on saturday oct. 11th from 8-12. it's only one day, it costs $25 to rent a "booth", which is just a table. but, TONS of people come to it just to buy kid stuff. you can sell clothes, and other kid related items (i.e. high chair, strollers, toys, care seat, pack 'n play, etc.). you set your own prices and get to keep all the profits you make. it's sometimes a pain to get your stuff ready, but everyone that comes is looking solely for kid stuff. it's put on by the Mothers and More club in valpo...you can probably google it and find the contact number. i have it somewhere, but it escapes me now. i sold one year and got rid of so much stuff. whatever items you don't want, you can donate at the end of the sale. let me know if you have other ?'s.

on a similar note...if you're not going to sell, its a great sale to stock up on stuff for the coming up seasons.

Try a site called GumdropSwap (http://gumdropswap.com). You can swap from anywhere in the US by sending the clothes your kids outgrow to this kids boutique in CT. As long your things are in good condition they don't turn down anything because of brand, size or season. They take everything unlike resale store like Once Upon a Child! You do have to wash the clothes (at home not professionally laundered? lol) They give you points to shop on the website and send the clothes that fit your kids. It's great if you don't have time, patience or know how to do consignment, Ebay, craigslist etc.

You might try Just Like New in Crown Point IN. They sell kids and womens clothes. You need to call first and make an appointment.

Don't know where you are, but there is Maddy and Max in Chesterton. I would call them and see what they are taking.
