What time do you all head out for tricker treating with the kids? My son is 8 so we planning on 6 to 7:30.
I always waited until it got dark... but people here (MN) have been saying that they expect kids to come as early as 4:00 b/c it's a school night. That's a bit early if you ask me.
Dusk sounds like a good compromise... :)
We always waited until dusk., that way it's sorta light when you start and gets darker as you go.... I liked to be back home by 8 at the latest.
The kids in my neighborhood now start at about 6, however I had some rogue trick or treaters at 2 today! We used to always set the clocks back the wknd before Halloween so it got darker sooner, now we dont set them back till next wknd, so this day is taking for ever before the "witching hour" to happen.

It's probably a little late to be answering... kids started showing up on our doorstep around 5:45. My kids set out about 6:30.
At Dusk, especially since it is a school night, otherwise we would start later.

We usually go at dusk...as soon as it starts getting dark, even then its so hard for my kids' to be patient enough to wait that long :)
it's almost 6pm here trick or treat hours go from 4-8 I have had about 15 trick or treaters. usually have had a hundred by now. not sure whats going on... I have lots of candy :(

The youngest start at 6:00.. It is still light here, the older kids as it gets dark.
