What Time Is Everyone Trick or Treating?

With daylight savings not coming until after Halloween, it isn't going to be dark until 7 ish. Is everyone going to wait that late? My son goes to bed at 7:30 typically and it is a school night. I wonder if it would be acceptable to go earlier. What are ya'lls thoughts?

What can I do next?

we're going at 7. His bedtime is 8:15, but we'll push it to 9:15 that night because of Halloween...and because of the time change.

We are starting early cause it is a school night. We are getting picture done at 5:00 and going right after that.

I think we are starting around 6:00 (or when Dad gets home). I might try to hold off a little till I see other kids out. My sons bed time is at 8:00 usually, but with the fall back I might hold it till 8:30 or 9:00. I dont want him to be ready to go to bed at 7:00 (the new time) when his internal clock says 8:00. This will help in the tranisition of the time change. Also, we got Trick or Treaters till about 9:30 last year and I know he won't sleep through that.

Have a safe and fun one,

R.,

Typically trick-or-treating should start after everyone has time to get home from work. Around 6:00PM
I think it is great we will have more light and it will be safer for the little ones.

Our HOA put out a memo stating trick or treating is to begin at 6:30 and end at 9:30. I hate that it is still completely light at that time, but I figure if we start at 6:30, we can go for an hour and by the end it will be dark.

You don't have to wait till it gets dark, our church is having a function and it starts at 6:30pm, so we will be there at 6:30pm, & then go to a few houses, I work f/t & my 2 young children go to elementary school, so we will be getting an early start dark or not, we are early risers !
5:30 am. Have fun ! ~

Sure go out around 5:30 some ppl maybe be home. We don't go until 6 or 7. Then we go to the club house party. We make the exception for the night about bedtime.
Have fun and be safe....

We;ll be going around 7. Halloween is once a year:)...we let the kids slide on bedtime.
I dont think there should be "retrictions" how what time your "allowed" to trick or treat, like alot of HOA's are now doing. Its taking the tradition out of Halloween.
My kids are done walkng after an hour, hour and 1/2 tops anyways:).

Happy halloween!:)
