Not all TJ products are organic. The organic products specify that they are organic. You still have to label read, but they do have some GREAT products.
Their body wash and such is garbage, though. Full of parabens!
I have recently been introduced to Trader Joes. I think outside the box and am questioning ...is this true, can all products they offer be organic? With the few items I have bought, in my first trip, all have gone well. There is not much different in the taste of their brand. I just wonder is this all just a hoax? Thanks for any responses.

Organic is different than GMO. You can buy organic milk or regular milk, organic veggies, meat, etc or regular. But to my understanding, and I did ask an employee, all their products are GMO free.
I taught parenting classes in the Fall. I spent 2 classes discussing what we are feeding ourselves and our kids since here in the USA-- And why we need to make better choices. A relative is a holistic health counselor who works tirelessly to get GMO's labeled---and with him, I put together a fabulous lecture !
Trader Joe's is a fabulous store. Yet, if you are looking for organic foods, then, you have to check the label for the organic seal. Just like when I go into the Natural/Organic section of the grocery store...The labels have to be checked. Some foods are Natural (which doesn't really mean too much) and organic is organic. They have some unhealthy choices , too.
About genetically altered foods:
Sadly, since 1996, genetically modified plants (corn and soybeans to name 2) were introduced. Many, many countries banned them. The USA did not and the FDA ignored their scientists. Monsanto ran away with this --and have been found guilty of hiding toxic effects of other products---So, they have told us that GMO's are safe, too ! Yet, animal studies have shown that there are risks assoc w/ GM foods---And the allergies and asthma have increased bi-fold since GMO's have been introduced.. We are now human experiments ! Why all these allergies? This altered soy (not organic or Non-Gmo on label) drastically reduces the digestive enzymes in mice, according to research. What does this mean to us? If it also impairs our digestion, we become allergic...
When I go to Trader Joe's, I buy either organic foods or foods that have not been genetically engineered. Read the site AV has posted.
Not all foods are genetically engineered. Soy and corn are the two biggies ! Soybean oil, corn syrup, and so on...
I COMMEND Trader Joe's to keep their store brand foods non-gmo ! If you are lookig for HEALTHY food, non-gmo is important !!!!!!
Great website: OCA.com
Superb GMO info: Responsibletechnology.org (See gmo dangers)
A great documentary: "Seeds of Death: Unveilling the Lies of GMO's"
All Trader Joe's label products are NOT organic but they are GMO free:

Trader's has many great products both their own label and others but you still have to read labels. Many of their own products are from other companies and just re-labeled by TJs. They are a lot cheaper then the exact same product labeled by the smaller private company in other stores because TJs can buy huge quantities at lower prices.
It's a lot easier and less expensive to find healthy food there but you still need to check those labels. In the great GMO experiment in which we are all guinea pigs it's nice that I can shop there and not wonder exactly what it is I'm feeding my family.
Only the products with organic labels are organic.
Be careful of sodium content. Their processed foods are processed foods.
They have terrific frozen shrimp and scallops.
No they're not ALL organic, not by a long shot. But they do offer some organic and generally healthier items at a good price.
I love Trader Joes, I just wish their produce section was bigger!
to be organic it has to be labeled as such. TJ's offers many organics, but no, its not all organic, not sure where you heard that, but you are correct- its too good to be true.
While organic covers GMO free, GMO free does not mean organic.
TJs stuff is not all organic, but it's going to be GMO free, no MSG and no High Fructose Corn Syrups. You're going to get better stuff there then at a regular grocery store, but it won't all be organic.
Check out their website for recipes! Two of our favorite are the crock pot beef stew and the wonton soup. The wonton soup is easy, you just buy 2 containers of the Trader Joes free range chicken broth, a bag of the frozen wontons and some green onions. Heat the soup until simmering, add the frozen wontons and cook until they are warm. Chop the green onions, throw them in and stir! It's so good, it doesn't even need any seasoning.
Love all their frozen veggies. People always thick they are fresh if cooked correctly.
TJ's is awesome. They make fabulous cheap ready-made salads that last me three days for lunches. So good and so much variety.
I read an article about how they sell a lot of higher end brand products under their brand. Their boxed mac and cheese is actually Annie's brand. The larger companies don't tell you this, because it's much cheaper at TJ's. They don't advertise or offer coupons, so they are able to keep their prices low. It's a good model.
Yes, you do have to look at their labels for the organic products, but they have a bunch. Oh, and a friend of mine has a Trader Joe's cookbook. She loves it.
You still have to be a diligent label reader at Trader Joe's. I have seen plenty of things that are just as bad as some of the big Agri-Biz products. But, in general, they are better than the conventional grocery store.
I don't have a Trader Joe's near me anymore but I fell in love with them when I lived in Cinci. No, not all of their products are organic. Their products are labeled organic or not just as any other store. I found great deals there.
They may not all be, but they are generally better. I miss them!
I LOVE trader joes. I do a lot of shopping there. I do not think that all their products are organic, but I could be wrong. They have the best ready type foods and it's great for lunches too!
I believe so. I know there is no dyes in thier foods, or HFCS. Lots of the things you want to stay away from.
TJ's products are not all organics, and they are not all totally healthy. Check labels anyway.
Interesting fact...both Trader Joes and Aldi are owned by the same company, the Albrecht family started them :)
