Bidets are better for the environment, or so I read. Supposedly they also clean better. Which is your preference?

What can I do next?

You may want to google a how to use a bidet. Don't know your level of experience with them - I had none.

I too wanted a bidet....until I watched the how to video. It's not an either/or - bidet or TP. A bidet just cleans and washes after you use TP.

I'll save the pun, but I am not THAT ocd that I need to do both.

I grew up using the bidet, when i moved to the US I was like:"How do you clean yourself when you go, ahem, no.2? Or when you just want to refresh yourself? Do you shower all the time?" It just seemed so convenient to me, especially for washing my potty-trainer (my boy) whenever he had accidents without having to undress him completely and throw him in the shower (or tub). Even wipes are not a good replacement, just a poor surrogate of real cleaning. I missed my bidet when I didn't have one! If you'll get one you'll be hooked. Super convenient.

I am European and asked for a bidet for a Mother's Day gift since our bathroom didn't have one..... long story short, my husband is hooked on it-- and he had never had one growing up! Bidget is the way to go!

I don't care for a bidet. BUT, a washlet- that's a different thing and totally wonderful.

Look up a Toto washlet. Fabulous item.

I would love to have a bidet but remodeling the bathroom isn't in the budget. I compromise by having a basket of soft clean rags to wash my bottom with, and a lidded bucket of soapy water next to the toilet to put the soiled rags in. Every couple of days, they go in the wash.

I'm personally not a fan.
I was in a restaurant bathroom (looked like a regular toilet w/toilet seat),
pushed a button & got the shock of my life. I shot up off of the seat &
got wet everywhere.
Fast forward 10 years & a family member was in need of one.
I serves its purpose: this ailing person needs help w/cleaning.
The toilet seat on this one is warm which is nice.
They simply replaced their old toilet w/this one. It looks like a toilet.
