Toddler Playgrounds

I like to take my children to Potter Park. It's behind the YMCA at Palmer Ranch. The YMCA also has a leaky pipe pool (that's what my husband and children calls it) next door. It's under expansion right now but should be up and running by Summer. Back to Potter Park, it's quiet and shady.

There is a park/playground behind the Highway Patrol station on SR 70 (53rd Avenue)and there is another park/playground with picnic tables, grills, etc in Sarasota off Tamiami Trail & 14th Street (I think), before you get downtown.

I personally love Lewis Park in W Bradenton, near Manatee Ave and 30th St W. Palmetto has a great selection for little ones. I am not as familiar with Sarasota. Please feel free to contact me.

Hello R.. I've enjoyed Bayfront Park, downtown Sarasota, just South of Marina Jack's along the bay. It has both a fountain to play in and a modern gated playground that enjoys the rubber composite flooring that is nearly harmless to fall on (except it gets hot in the summer :-(
