Hi M., I am a WAHM and a SAHM of four years now! Believe me you do have to have some kind of schedule or you do feel like you are chasing your own tail all week. I think what has helped me the most with staying on top of things nad still having my sanity is office hours for my business, days of the week that I do specific things ie laundry, vacuuming, dusting, meal planning, and a few errands. I really stick to that schedule and have found it to be so much easier than randomly looking at each day. I do have a day planner that I write everything in.(before I go to bed) and that way when I wake up the next morning I know exactly what I need to accomplish. I have also found that meal planning is so important. I plan two meals at a time and try to cut up fruit and saladstuff right when I buy it so it's all ready to eat or make a salad with. I thaw out two kinds of meat and if we are grilling I will go ahead and grill both so I have chicken done for salads or wrap sandwiches. I love the website www.flylady.com check it out! I think you will love it too. They will send you daily time saver tips as well! Congratulations on your sweet baby and many blessings to you and your husband as you journey through parenthood! J.

Two little things that have helped me.
1. setting out mine and my daughter's clothes the night before, and making sure anything we need for the next day is packed and ready to go. (she goes to work with me)

2. www.menus4moms.com this website will email you a meal plan, grocery list, and recipes for meals five nights a week. It's great, and they have original ideas.

I agree, schedules are a great help so you will have more time and energy to devote to spending good times with the kids!

I didn't really see much in the way of me time so I'll share mine. Normally you'll find that the evening time is when it's easiest to have me time. Take up some meditation and/or yoga. Yoga is great for the body and the mind and it will help you sleep better. I'm currently reading a book called "Ancient Secrets of Facial Rejuvenation." I like reading it and I love the way I feel after applying the methods.

For cooking: Get a food processor and a blender. They're generally easy to keep clean and I hate standing around chopping veggies. I'm a danger with knives anyway so my hubby way prefers I handle them as little as possible.
