G.P.
My name is G. Powers and I am the Mother of 13 year old Invitro twins at 40. Our daughter had a reaction to her 4 year booster shots and has had a brain injury from them since 4 years 9 months. We have traveled a very long journey trying to find the right Doctors and the right diagnosis of our daughter. After many years of doing the wrong things like listening to Neurologists and others, we finally found out about the ketogenic diet which stopped her seizures and then just through coincidence I found out about Neurotherapy/biofeedback and my child's life is turning around. We are about to start the second real go around and it has made all of the difference in the world in her. Her school work and maturity level have come a million miles since we started in the Fall of 2006.
It is expensive. I don't know how much it costs in Austin, Texas, but we are lucky to live about 1 hour from Denton, Texas, and they have a Neurotherapy/Biofeedback Research Center located at University of North Texas there. We were very lucky and they put our daughter at the top of the list and did the QEEG and started the sessions on her pretty quickly afer I even found out there was such a thing......I don't know about every Neurotherapy place, but the people in Denton have been very kind and honest with me. I have never felt that we were wasting money and I think you would be able to figure out pretty quickly if this was going to help your child. You see pretty quick results with this treatment. So, if you didn't see improvement, you could stop and save the rest of your money. It was $720 for the QEEG and $90 per session. For a year we paid $180 per week for 2 sessions along with the (one time)cost of the QEEG. There are several private practioners around the Dallas area. They could very well charge more since they are not a Research Center like we have found. As far as the expense and the fact that Insurance doesn't pay. We need to do something about this in this Country. Every thing that has helped my daughter been denied by Insurance. The only things that have helped her have been kind of alternative health things. The Insurance Companies have to be getting kick backs from the Pharmeceutical Companies, because they are more than willing to pay for unbelievably expensive treatment in pysch wards and they pay for the expensive pills and drugs that only hurt our children worse, but they won't get smart and pay for the things that will really help them like these alternative methods that are not invasive and that are drug free. I highly recommend that you try Neurotherapy/Biofeedback. I can't wait until the people in this Country find out how much it helps for all kinds of problems with people. They will feel cheated, because it is almost a hidden treatment. We were in the Doctor scene for years during this nightmare that happened to our daughter and no one told us about Neurotherapy. I just stumbled onto it through a person that had worked there. It helps with so many different conditions. They actually started on her frontal cortex, where if damaged can cause your child to live in such a fog.
Because of my longterm battle for my daughter and learning about how our children are exposed to so many terrible chemicals through the shots and really just living in this world of preservatives and chemicals, I have been selling Arbonne International for the last 2 years. That has enabled me to help with the cost of the Neurotherapy. Arbonne is an all natural botanical anti-aging skincare and Health and Wellness Company. They are multi-level marketing so you can be a stay at home Mom and drive to Neurotherapy/Biofeedback 2 times a week the way I have. Let me know if you would be interested in a sample of the skin-care it is so wonderful and really works just the way the Neurotherapy does.
Good Luck. I gave you the prices on what we have paid, so that you will know if you are getting fair prices in your area. I think most people that are in the profession are very honest and sincere and beleive in what they do, because they are basically unknown to so many people, including a lot of Doctors out there too I guess. Good Luck. I definitely say give it a try. Your child will probably thank you immensely.
