Hello J.,
we do 4 quarters or a dollar bill and they love it just as much. My son wanted to keep his tooth so we he wrote a note to the toothfairy. cute and priceless!!! and he got to keep his tooth. (of course later I took it)
My son is about to lose his first two teeth. They've been hanging on for a while, so I know they'll fall out any time now. (and if they are still there when he goes in for his checkup Tuesday, perhaps they won't be there by the time the appointment is over :) )
So, my question is...what does the tooth fairy bring your children? Does anyone know where I can get a silver dollar around Flower Mound?
Thanks!
Hello J.,

Funny story -- i wasn't expecting my son to lose his first tooth the night he did and we were completely unprepared... but I typed up a little letter to him from the tooth fairy (very small print) and rolled it up like a scroll and tied it with a ribbon. He and I had made a tooth fairy pillow (white fabric cut like a tooth) and put a little pocket on the front... i let him decorate it with fabric paint. I didn't want to try to look for a tooth beneath a pillow at night and knew the pillow would be much faster. I bought some irridescent (sp?) confetti and it's now "tooth fairy dust" and he actually got a $20 bill for his first tooth - THAT IS ALL I HAD!!! Since then, not so much -- we do the gold dollars from the post office... this last time we did 8 of each coin pennies, nickels, quarters, dimes, of the year he was born... he thought that was pretty cool.
Hi J.,
Oh they grow up soooo fast!! We make a huge deal of the tooth fairy because after all they only have so many teeth to lose! My daughter asked the tooth fairy her name...ugh...I was online all night searching and was able to find a passage that named her "flitterpuff". She always leaves fairy dust which is very fine glitter in a zip lock bag and we have a pillow to make the tooth more easy for her to find in the dark. Some children are scared of some little fairy being that close to their faces while they are sleeping...if this is the case with your little one a pillow at the foot of the bed works just as well.
Have fun,
M.
J., you should try your bank for the silver dollar. I also know that the Post Office dispenses the gold dollar coins, so if you buy stamps through one of their machines, they give you those coins as change. Hope that helps!
