Okay, so I think it's about that time. My 22 month old officially has the toddler mullet. Can anyone recommend somewhere to get it cut? Chicago only, preferably close to Lakeview.

We tried Kid Snips today and it worked out great. I do think it's ridiculous to spend that much on a cut for him BUT it was actually worth it. If he hadn't had all of those distractions it would have been a nightmare! Thanks for your responses.
We go to Snippets on Clybourne, south of Webster. We love it and he gets distracted with toys and movies during the cut.
I just took my little one in for a haircut for the first time. We went to Kidsnips on Clybourn, just west of Racine (in the shopping center with US Bank). His cut was $18 and it was the best experience. They listen to exactly what you want, all of the chairs are actually fun cars to sit in, they have videos the kids can watch, etc. It was great!
I've taken mine to both places (snippets and kidsnips); I think it's more the luck of the draw and who you get. I would avoid weekends if possible and go during the week if you can. Kinda of a rip off price at bith places tho if you ask me...
We take our 2 1/2 year old son to Snippets on Clybourn- he loves it.
"Snippets" on Clyborn (south of Fullerton) is perfect! They cater to the wee ones and the salon chairs they sit in are really cars, airplanes, etc...They also have small tv's in front of the mirror and will play their favorite tv show if you'd like. Kid Snips down the street is great too and has the same idea. Have fun!
Don't waste your time with Snipits near Webster Place. They are rude and not accomodating. I have gone a couple of times and have just left because I was ignored. I love Kidsnips which is also on Clyborn. The address is 1953 N. Clybourn. Their phone # is ###-###-####. They give you a nice certificate with a picture and lock of hair for the first haircut.
