She's a baby. Just trim it a bit with blunt nail scissors. She doesn't need to sit still and be perfectly groomed. Plenty of time for that later.
Hi everyone,
I would love to hear a recommendation for a place or person who cuts infant's hair nicely. My little one is very active and it's hard to hold her in one spot for longer.
Chicago area would be fine but I'm willing to go further if it's worth it. Any mom?
Thank you in advance for your response.

Not sure where you are in the City but who I go to and who cuts my son's hair is located on the north side:

Kid Snips at 1953 N. Clybourn in Chicago! The kids sit in little cars, can watch a cartoon during the cut and they send you off with a video of their haircut experience, a certificate and a keepsake lock of hair. They do an amazing job even with the most active and terrified little ones!! Good Luck!
We like Kidsnips -- they are very good with kids and have lots of stuff (kids' movies, video games, toys) to entertain them. They have branches in Wilmette (at Eden's Plaza), Deerfield, and other places. I think maybe in Chicago too...Good luck!

Snippets at Northbrook Court ###-###-#### (I like Rosa) or www.snipkid.com
I take my daughter to snippets in Lincoln Park. They have a website at www.snipkid.com There are more locations. Its $20 for a cut and style. They only do kids hair and it is worth it to me. They have tv's with cartoons on, lots of toys to play with while you wait or get the cut. The seats are little airplanes or cars with steering wheels. Or they can sit on your lap if they are afraid in a regular chair. Definitely check them out--my daughter luvs getting her haircut now. They do a really cute job too!
We have been going to snippets since my son was 8 months old. We go to the one in Lombard, but there is one in Lincoln Park.
They are very nice and acomodating to the active child.
Good Luck to you!

I've heard good things about Snippets on Clyborn. They have several other locations as well.
I found that holding my daughter on my lap helped her sit still the first two times her hair was cut.
I have used Snippets and Kid Snips and they are both great for kids (although it is $20), which seems like a lot for a haircut, but they deal only with kids so they seem to make even the fussiest kids settle down!
Kidsnips on Clybourn is great! The kids sit in little cars and can watch videos. The stylists are all used to kids so they know exactly what to do. $18 for a cut
I second KIDSNIPS!!!
The one we went to is at OakBrook Mall, top level near Sears and Gloria Jeans. Good place to go on a nice, sunny day.
They were great! My daughter was a little squirmy, but that didn't stop Miss Keisha from doing a wonderful job cutting her hair.
They all made a big deal about it being her 1st haircut and we got a decorated certificate with a picture and a little bag of hair and my daughter got to pick out a toy from this big chest of treasures.
You have got to go to KIDSNIPS!!!!! They are located on Clybourn in Chicago and they are WONDERFUL!!!!!! My daughter is 2 yrs old and hasn't gone anywhere else. The stylist who does my daughter's hair is Alicia. They have videos and toys to buy while you're there and everyone gets a prize. 1953 N Clybourn ###-###-#### or visit www.kidsnips.com Good Luck!!!!
I took my 5 month old (yes her hair was already in her eyes!!) to JRH Kids Cuts on 2123 W Irving Park Rd, and liked it a lot.
This yelp review is what sent me there and pretty much says it all:

My son has a LOT of hair and we've been getting his hair cut since he was nine months old (he is now 17 mos).
We LOVE Martha at Great Cuts (in the shopping center with Jewel Osco, and Pier One Imports) off of Ashland in between Diversey and Wellington.
Martha is amazing!! She puts a cape on me, and a baby cape on my son and she lets him sit in my lap while she cuts his hair. We both help move him in different positions to cut it and we ALWAYS get wonderful compliments from everyone on his little man's haircut.
I highly recommend Martha!
You can tell her Danya and Daniel referred you.
Hope this helps!
