I am happy right now because it is finally Snowing!!! I know, people in my "area" will probably laugh, because it's not much right now, but I am excited. I love snow. I love how clean, and peaceful and magical it looks, and it's about time we got even a little. So right now I am happy to just sit at the window with my coffee and watch it snow!

What silly things make you happy?

What can I do next?

Snow always thrills us South Texas people...as we only see it every ten years or so.

A new book by a favorite author...and they way the paper in the book smells (weird i know...but my Kindle doesn't have that smell).

Pajama days at home...they way it feels to climb into fresh sheets...not having to fix dinner...

I'm potty-training the 2 2yo boys in my daycare. On Thurs, both boys "went" at the same time....both started jumping up/down....with me saying, "watch out! Don't knock over your potty chairs!" LOL, but it was a very happy moment.....& the joy on their faces was uplifting.

God, I need a life.....my story is about peeing.

i'm pretty easy to please, i'm a pretty happy person by nature :)

most recently, yesterday my 5 year old son and i were sitting on the couch watching tv and we were chitchatting, etc, just very chill, nothing much going on...and all of a sudden he looked up at me right into my eyes. i smiled because it was so sweet, and i said, "what?" and he smiled and said, "i just love you."

awww! :) that'll do me for a good week or so lol.

i agree with you jo - i never seem to make it home from a crappy day at work in a bad mood. i attribute it to picking my son up before i get home. once i step into that preschool everything shifts. you're really not allowed to be grumpy mean work mom once you're inside a preschool :) so i'd say picking him up from school makes me happy too.

hmm something NON kid related lol...

i got a haircut on friday and that has made me so happy :) that's a little thing that can make a big difference in my attitude!

Everything pretty much makes me happy. I am very good at finding the funny in anything, even when it is sometimes inappropriate...oops Yes, I laugh at funerals.

I love sitting in my front window and watching it snow. As an added benefit I get to laugh at my neighbors trying to navigate the hill in front of our house as well. :p The best was an icy day where a trash truck entered our subdivision forgetting that the laws of physics are not negated by snow and ice. I still wonder how he explained to his boss how he got that truck upside down in a creek.

For some reason when I leave work on a sunny day the first intersection I stop at always has the most beautiful scene. Can you just imagine the crappiest day of work and then that? I never seem to make it home upset. :)

My husband put the clean sheets on the bed yesterday and it just tickled me. He usually helps, but never does it himself.

I am 41 years old. When I was 20, I lived in a crappy little apartment that had a dishwasher. In some cruel, little twist of fate, I have managed to never have another one and have always had to do my dishes by hand. So, walking in the door to find my husband doing a load of dishes for M. makes M. the happiest woman in the world. :) The rest of my life is what keeps M. that happy!

I like snow, too. It's pretty, and you can play with it. It's the BRUTAL COLD I can't stand, sigh.

A thing that makes me happy is when my kids talk about something they ate elsewhere and say, eh, it was ok, but not nearly as good as YOURS!

God Bless 'em!

:)

I second and third, the peace of that first snow, before it gets yellow'd by dogs!

I love getting into bed with a book knowing that I have the 6-8 hours to dedicate to sleep. (This is after a year of not sleeping).

The perfect cup of coffee from Dunkin' Donuts, a solid 50:50 ration of light to sweet.

Finding money, finding that something I need to buy is on sale, my husband dancing (even when he is not trying to be funny, lol), when my daughter says: you are right. When I lose a pound without even trying, music, so many!

My husband always laughs at me when I just randomly ask him "you know what makes me happy?" because he knows that answer is always a clean room, or clean laundry, or a clean bathroom/toilet. I am a clean freak and I try my hardest to kepp things tidy and organized without it consuming my life so when I have the time to get things the way I like them it always puts a smile on my face

I REALLY love a scrubbed kitchen sink. My husband tends to dump his coffee out and not run the water afterwards and it always looks icky.

Another thing is donating things. I take things to my son's school, to Goodwill and the homeless shelter. They are always so happy to get things and I'm even HAPPIER to pass something on to someone who could get some use out of it.
