HI moms, my child is sensitive to noise but needs a humidifier in his bedroom due to his dry skin. Do you know of one that is quiet enough for bedroom? Thanks so much.
Crane Ultrasonic Humidifiers are amazing. My daughter has the frog. It is very quiet, and you can set how high/low you want it.
I found the cheap, little hot steam vicks to be silent as there is no fan. They are like, $20 :)

LOVED ours (we at one time had 3!). They did die after 5 years, but who cares? They are cheap!
Cool mist ultrasonic do not make a sound.

We have 4 humidifiers in our house. 1 is a Vicks Steam humidifier (not recommended because they are tough to clean and steam humidifiers are likely to cause mold problems.) 1 is a Crane (cool mist, froggy shaped, virtually silent and FANTASTIC and requires no filter). 2 are Honeywell, noisy, fan-forced, requires filters, cool mist.
I highly recommend the Crane if your LO likes it quiet. 1 of mine likes white noise, so we use the Honeywell in his room.
We just ordered a Crane humidifier for our son online at Amazon and based on everyone's recommendations, I'm really glad I did! In our daughter's room, we have a very small humidifier called Germ Guardian (bought at Babies R Us) which is very quiet. Our son has always complained about the noise from the Honeywell humidifiers we had in the past, so I'm excited to hear the good reviews about the Crane humidifiers.
We have the penguin version of what Margo C. recommended and it is pretty quiet. We got one from Walgreens before this one, and had to return it as it was too loud.
These Crane cool mist humidifiers come in different animal shapes. We got it from our local Target.
Search for "Crane humidifier" on the Target web site to see different versions...
My son has the duck version of the Crane humidifier in his room..as he suffers from eczema. It has been a great humidifier and is extremely quiet!
