Forty feet that is. Still a rather impressive garden for where I live. I have gardened since I was a child and taught my kids everything I know. My youngest will go out at fetch me anything I want, the price I pay is every ripe tomato in the garden. Gen can you fill this with Romas, thirty minutes later she comes in with half of what I want and nothing left on the vine. Really I need to train the boy child to fetch produce.

So how many other gardeners are out there and what do you grow?

EDIT: What would you all do, Troy is out of town but we need to plant. I am not supposed to be doing gardening until I find out what I have done to my knee. If I put it in a brace it doesn't hurt as much, like I could stand the pain to till the garden.....so which is it, the knee or the garden. It is killing me not to go out there and plant the darn thing. :-/

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Bug, have you had Tomatillos? Last year freaking lanterns all over the place, no fruit till just before frost. :(

I will have my veggie garden some day. I have to wait it out to buy my much needed fencing around my dirt patch.

I will have corn, carrots, onion, brocolli and many many more things. this is just my short list to start off from!!

Gate must come first though. My patch is out in the front yard and with the neighborhood kids always playing and running through there and my own kids not doing any better. I have to have it or I wont be able to keep anything growing!!

We love our garden! The kid love it too. We grow carrots, tomatoes, tomatillos, onion, garlic, broccoli, zucchini, jalapenos, green beans, cantaloupe, spinach and okra. In pots we have cilantro, basil, and rosemary, and a spicy greens mix that we add to our salads for a little flavor. We have a black berry bush on our back fence. We planted strawberry in a patch by our pool. We also have two pear trees and a jujube tree (kind of a cross between a date and an apple).

I just got my garden planted thanks to all the rain we've been getting. We have corn, red cabbage, leaf lettuce, head lettuce, cauliflower, beets, carrots (little ones and big), onions, a few herbs, strawberries, zucchini, cucumbers, potatoes, peas and beans. I might be forgetting something. We have a few raspberry bushes and some apple trees as well. Here's hoping everything grows well. Tomatoes...how could I forget my daughter's favorite!?

We grow tomatoes on our back patio in huge pots. We live on Base so we can't really grow a big garden. I have several herbs planted as well.

Love my garden! This year I'll have four varieties of tomatoes, four varieties of hot peppers, pickling cucumbers, scallions, zucchini, yellow squash, pumpkins, tomatillos, three kinds of basil, cilantro, dill, chives, vine peas, two kinds of beets, two kinds of lettuce, three kinds of carrots, and sunflowers.

I can not wait for our last frost date (two weeks!!!) so I can transplant all of the stuff I started indoors outside. We're way up high in the mountains so the growing season here is really short.
