We go every year to the buffet at the Embassy Suites off 183 and Valley View in Irving. We go for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Mothers Day. I hate to cook, have a small house, and don't want to clean a huge mess.
We are relatively new to the area and since we have no family here, we have decided to go out to eat Thanksgiving day. Does anyone have any suggestions on a nice (somewhat kid friendly) restauraunt that serves Thanksgiving dinner? (We are going to check out the Gaylord Texan, but don't know where else to look)
Thanks!

We did the unusual last year and went to Oishi in Lewisville for a Hibatchi Thanksgiving. Not your typical turkey day meal, but our kids had SO much fun!
Three Forks but not sure if kid friendly. It is a dress up place. G.
I would highly recommend Mimi's Cafe. they are a franchise (but a small one) and they serve the best food. It all is home cooking. I did the thanksgiving meal 2 years ago when i had family in town and it was great, just as good if not better than what i could have done myself. Not very expensive and kid friendly. Make reservations soon because it is one of their busiest days of the year. Although the feel that day wasn't a rushed feeling at all.
The Gaylord Texan is very nice but also very expensive (in my opinion). Because our family is small (3 of us), and I don't care too much for cooking, we go to The Black-Eyed Pea for Thanksgiving dinner every year. Good food, great atmosphere, kid-friendly, and inexpensive...can't beat that! They have a special Thanksgiving Day menu with many different plates/items to choose from, and it includes salad, dinner, dessert, and an assortment of breads. We love it! And if you don't feel up to dining in, you can always order in advance and pick-up for carry out. Hope this helps a little. ;)
We are pretty new too and went to the Gaylord two years ago...it was really nice and there were kids there. Also, I heard that the Mansion at Turtle Creek is good but kind of pricey. A lot of the hotels do stuff so you might want to check into those.
Good luck!
