The experience I had with teeth is once they cut through the gum within a week the tooth is really out. ....KaraC
Hey Everyone. I posted a question last week on my son coming down with a fever and having nothing wrong with him. It turned out that it must have been from teething because his first tooth cut through yesterday. Now I have another question (!). Once the tooth cuts throught he gums, how long before it starts to pop up? Thanks!!!

Hi M.,
It will be different for every child, because it was with both of my kids. With my oldest, he would be teething one day and the next you would be able to see the whole tooth. But with my youngest,it was like yours. It will show, but I don't think anyone can tell you when. I hope this helped, and I am so happy for you. Good luck.
My daughter's teeth have taken soooo long! We FINALLY saw a little bit of white about 2 months ago, and she has two bottom teeth now but they aren't very far out yet. For a while we'd check every day with a flashlight to see how far they'd come! She also recently popped out her side top teeth (not the front teeth but the SIDE teeth...a baby Dracula) and those are coming out slowly as well. I guess every baby is different! As long as he is feeling a little better, that's really all that matters. :)
You will be amazed how fast the tooth will finish coming through. L.
my daughter's two bottom teeth came in together and and all she had was a fever. those teeth will arrive when there good and ready. good luck with it
