I applied a tattoo (Dora the Explorer, haha) to my 2 year old on Saturday....ITS STILL ON HER!!!! How do you get those stupid things off!?! Normally, I wouldnt apply such a thing, but we were at a birthday party and I thought "what the heck!?!" It is still as clear as the day I put it on. She has had 6 baths since then, and I have tried lotion and different soaps.....what else?
(funny thing is, she doesnt even like Dora!!! heeheehee)
Non toxic approach is a product called Solumel. This will remove gum, tar tattoos, markers, paint. It even cleaned off markes left on my car when somone hit my car. The best part is this stuff is safe, non toxic and has at least 100 more uses. contact me and I can share with you where I buy this wonderfull stuff.

Try rubbing alcohol or even nail polish remover and then rinse??? An exfolient type of cleanser (with the little beads) should also help get it off.

Have you tried baby oil? Or even the oily eye makeup remover. My three year old daughter loves tattoo's, without me knowing she put one on her forehead! Before I could take her to daycare I had to remove it! Baby oil worked great! Good Luck

Try rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and then apply to the tattoo. It should loosen it up and then come off. I wish you the best of luck. Afterwards apply some lotion as this will dry her skin. Also you can use fingernail polish remover. Again following up with the lotion but also some soap and water.
I wish you the best of luck.

Baby oil gel works wonders!! Put a lot on the area & gently rub with a warm wash cloth until it comes off! It usually takes about 10 minutes or so, & then just rinse with warm water. Hope this helps

Rubbing alcohol will do the trick. But be sure to wash the area off and make sure that it is dry completely. Rubbing alcohol is very poisonous if ingested. You don't want her to put her mouth where the alcohol was before the area is completely dry.
This is the same rule of thumb you should use with hand sanitizer. That stuff is 99% alcohol.

Have you tried baby oil? Depending on where it's located, we've also tried Clorox Clean Up wipes and nail polish remover. When we've had to resort to these products, I always make sure to follow it up with aloe vera or hand lotion.
After a few of these mishaps we decided no more tattos.

Margaret,
Hi! I'm not sure if you've already received advice on how to take it off but if you haven't or for future reference, take a cotton ball, put some baby oil on it, and wipe. It should come right off! Hope this helps.

My daughter would give her right arm for one that stayed on for more than an hour. She loves those things and they always come right off and it just ruins her entire day. Hahaha! Try rubbing alcohol. That has worked for us in the past.

Alchohol pads for first aid work great. Or you could put the alchohol on a cotton ball or pad and rub across the tattoo to remove from the skin. Make sure to wash the area off after applying the alchohol.

A couple of other things to try; a pad/cotton ball/etc. soaked with rubbing alcohol - hold it on the tatoo for a few moments and rub, changing to clean wipes as needed.
Vaseline/petroleum jelly - put a nice thick coat of it on then rub it off with an old washcloth.
Try rubbing it off with baby oil.
Nail polish remover should take it off, but try a little first to make sure she doesn't have a reaction to it, use it in a well-ventilated area and wash thoroughly afterwards.
I've found that the tatoos the kids like the least, stay on the longest every time. It will come off eventually - really. Good luck.

Hey Margaret!
This one is easy. Any makeup remover, mineral oil intended for use on skin (baby oil, etc) or sesame oil for skin (Neutrogena et al) on a cottonball/tissue will remove the tattoo. I have boys. They'll put tattoos anywhere they can find a surface on their bodies.
