First baby was 1 week late and I was induced.
Second baby came two days early :)
So just be ready.
Just like I said to my OB last week, I know that my baby will come when she is ready but curiosity gets the better of us all sometimes right? So I asked her opinion seeing as how she does this day in and day out if she had any indication as to whether I would go into labour early, late, on-time. I knew she would agree with me on the fact that no one really knows but I asked anyway. She did however ask about my previous baby and when I told her that she was 5 days 'late' she kind of shrugged her shoulders and smiled and said "well", so I assumed that means that she was suggesting that I am likely to have the same pattern happen. My question is - in terms of timing how have your labours compared? I have already put in my guess that I will be 2 days late but still at this point every day that passes you wonder will it happen at midnight? will I go into labour before my next appointment? will I be stuck having to be induced?
Thanks in advance
ETA: I am 38 weeks today =)

All 3 of my babies were 2 wks late. I assume it's so warm and cozy they dont want to check out of Chateau D'T.. I vote this baby will be late.
I have 3, and 2 came the day after there due dates, and 1 came a day before the due date. LOL I say... day after.
Labors? My first was extraordinarily painless because I had been induced 2 times (1 failed) after the second time and the second day in labor I got a Spinal ahhhhh the best experience! second (short quick and extraordinarily painless and I had absolutely NO drugs. I kept asking the doctors is this normal? They were laughing and joking with me right till the very end, then it hurt as she came out. Last was HORRENDOUS nightmare. :)
My first was five days late, and my second was born at 2am the day after my EDD :)
First baby was induced at 42 weeks.
Second baby arrived 1 day before due.
Third was a week early.
Last pregnancy was twins, induced at 37 weeks but would have been born that week anyway as I had already been in early labor for a while.
For many of us, our body remembers that it's been to this rodeo before and gears up to do its thing more quickly and easily than the first time through. So...watch for the mucous plug thing (so gross) and then pack a bag. Could be a little sooner than you think!
Mine where complete opposites.
Whit my first one I stared leaking a about 3 weeks before my due date my oldest was 1 week late.
I was 2 months almost 3 early.
My first was 11 days late and I went to the hospital at 12:30am had her at 5:26am
My second was 9 days late and I went to the hospital around 1:00am had her a little after 6am. (So sad I don't remember her exact time off hand)
Anyway, I can't believe how similar their births went....via time in labor, the time I went into the hospital and the time I had them. (And for what its worth one I had without medications and one with.)
My first two children, were exactly 9 months from date of conception, which my projected date with my first was April 4th, and I had my daughter on April 3rd, and I know I conceived her on July 3rd. Had my second on May 26 and he was conceived August 26th... I have no idea when I conceived my 3rd child, I was supposed to have a c-section on 9/14, but he wanted his own day that he picked out and my water broke on Sept 10th at 10:45 PM, he was born on 9/11 at 1:55 AM, still got my c-section.
All my babies were born on Mondays, just normal for me I guess, I've talked with others, and no one else has that pattern... also, it rained the day of each of their births.
Since this is number 2, I think you'll be late again, and I'm going with 4 days this time... I know it's just a guess...
Congrats on #2!!!
my first was 5 days early, my second came on his due date.
My first came 3 days before her EDD.
My 2nd, according to my LMP came on his exact due date. According to a early viability U/S he came 1 week early.
I agree w/ Amanda W.-just be ready. :)
GL! and congrats!!!
are you effaced or dilated at all? how long was your first labor?
