My husband's cousin has tried to get prego for many years and gone thru just about every procedures, including traditional and alternative medicine which resulted in multiple m/c's, there is for it. She's considering having a surrogate mother but can't afford the fees in US. Does anyone know anything about surrogate mother in India?! Is there a reliable agency anyone can recommend? Thank you!!

What can I do next?

Hello J.,

I know how stressful could be for your husband's cousin, but the procces is long and expensive here, I was a surrogate mother many years ago and everything is legal, to protect the parents of the baby.
unfortunately they will be taking risks that the surrogate mother decides not to give them the baby even do, they are the biological parents.

for example in New York the laws are diffent than California.
In New York as far as I know the parents have to adopt their own baby.
In California the baby as soonest is born the parents are the parents.

There is a lots of psychological tests that the surrogate has to go and done and the is for the reason of if the surrogate mother change her mind to give the baby away.

Good luck.

You say that his cousin has tried "just about every procedure there is." Does that mean medical procedures only (IVF, for example), or does it also include alternative medicine? Frankly, acupuncture and the traditional herbal medicine that goes with it has a well-documented track record of achieving pregnancy in infertile cases. Homeopathy has a good track record, too. You might recommend one or both of these to your husband's cousin...it's a lot less expensive than any surrogate arrangement, and less fraught with risk.

Type in India, surrogacy in YouTube. There's a ton of segments about this.
