My friend has a Women Who Wine night 2x a year. Everyone brings a bottle of wine, she provides snacks and we have a wonderful time! Very classy.
I'm hosting a mom's night out at my house and wondering if you have suggestions for activities or discussions. It would be fun to make this a quarterly event - any ideas for traditions to start?

Hi Patti!
Wow- what neat ideas from everyone! I love playing games with other gals and just laughing and having a great time! Talk about melting the stress away! Karen had mentioned having a spa party with your gals, and that is something I can offer you and your friends at no cost. I have over 10 years of experience as a beauty consultant, and will travel just about anywhere any evening during the week or anytime over the weekend. January and February are the perfect time for 'fireside spa' nights- even if you don't have a fireplace! I can bring everything you'd need for a VERY fun relaxing experience, and I never haggle for people to purchase products or call to pester them later. Please give me a call at ###-###-#### to set something up for you. You can also just respond to this message. I have a new themed party I host every couple of months, like 'Chocolates and makeovers', 'Ready for bed pajama party'- always so much fun!
Can't wait to hear from you!
hi patty,
you could do a mini spa night where you girls do mini manicure and pedicures and facials yourselves and have some drinks and appetizers. Or you could have someone come to your home and do them for you.
You could do a game night (left, right, center) die game, or bunco,or any fun game. have some drinks and appetizers.
I think for alot of moms its great just being out with friends catching up with everyone.
Have fun!!!

Patti,

I also have a negihbor who is a Kara Vita rep and she comes over and does free facials and talks to you about skin care. They have a wonderful product line. I starting using their products and noticed a change in just 1 week. If you are interested in something like that you can email her at ____@____.com
Girls Night Out/In are so much fun. My neighbors and I do the same thing. Sometimes we just stay in and play cards or chat.
Have Fun.
The mom's on my block come over after bed time on a sunday night about every 6 weeks. We do it so that it is no work for the hostess ie nipples from the grocery store and drinks. We just chat.
However, I have another group of girls who come over intermittently and we play boogle or cards. We like Texas hold'em. It depends on the group as to what people like to do. I had a group of friends when I lived in DC and we did crafty activities and I know a group that meets at Buzz Cafe in Oak Park on monday nights and they knit together.
Spa night maybe? Have eye masks, play soothing ocean music. Dim the lights. Soak their feet ( I have tubs) RELAX!!!!!! Serve drinks, light snacks. Chit chat, catch up.
I would actually help with the products. I bought some oils and lotions, trying to start my own business(home-shows). Can give you those and see what happens. Maybe every event change the theme around:
Chocolate and strawberry night (champagne)
Craft night
Fashion show (maybe have quests bring their own clothes to trade with other ladies)
Pot luck night (everybody bring a dish, exchange recipes)
Movie night (bring favortie movie, popcorn and candy)
Wine night ( bring bottle of wine, cheese, crakers)
Play games. Crossword puzzles, pictionary, etc. No children topics. Points deducted if they mention children or partners. (THIS IS A MOMS NIGHT OUT, you know) Guests have to turn off their cells, unless they have good reason to have it on.
This should be a relaxing evening for THE LADIES to kick back and NOT worry about their everyday tasks.
Hope some of this helps

and Hidden Treasures Deluxe does adult toy - home parties
these both are REALLY fun, cheap and a great way to bond with your girls! Their number is ###-###-####
You could always invite a personal trainer over to give tips and their business card. You can invite a personal chef to debut their business for you/friends. A massage therapist could be invited to do quicky rubdowns while you have wine, do nails and have "spa" food. Ask a nutritionist to come and give a talk. Play bunco. Rent sappy movies. Treat one Mom in the group to a night of pure pampering, next time it is another Mom's turn. This could include everyone bringing an entree for her to bring home to just heat. manicure/pedicure. Whatever you do just let go.
Patti I am an idependent consultant for the Pampered Chef and my neighbor is an independent consultant for Tastefully Simple. We have done combination shows using my cooking tools and her easy gourmet recipies! Why not hold a party, have fun chatting with your girlfriends, and enjoy yummy treats! If your friends decide to buy you can earn free products from both vendors! Plus I'm offering a special booking benefit during January available to people who book via my website. So check it out.

I look forward to speaking with you about a fun Moms Night Out!
Hi Patti,
What about hosting a Surprise Parties - Celebration of Romance Party? Surprise Parties offers you and your friends an evening full of fun, much laughter and love life information. We are professional and entertaining. It costs nothing to have a party and you'll get tons of FREE products as a hostess. You and your guests will get your purchases that night. If you are interested, drop me an email at ____@____.com or call me at ###-###-#### to discuss details.
I'm doing this too! Since the New Year has started, I thought we'd talk about health goals - like weightloss, getting healthier, etc. Most of us want to do that but have no idea how to go about it or where to start or what to look for in diet aides, vitamins, etc. Spa parties are fun too since who doesn't like to be pampered?
I'd be happy to provide you more information if you are interested in any of the above or other "women" topics. It's always good to have something educational but fun too! Good luck!
I love to cook and bake - so I would say a Pampered Chef show - or I love to stamp and make cards - so have a project night making cards.
What about bunko or a book discussion night?

Hi Patti,
A mom's night out, How fun!! Well, I have a couple of idea's. I am a consultant for Mary Kay and I have done some very fun parties, such as an "eyes-cream social" where you try fabulous eye make-up & products, learn application techniques and have an ice cream bar with several types of ice cream and toppings, it is a ton of fun. You could also do a "Seattle Grace Coffee Night" and do facials (including microdermabrasion) and serve coffee and cookies while watching Greys Anatomy, also very fun. Recently, a couple of my customers held "sex in the city parties" with that you would do basic skin care and focus on glamour then watch the sex in the city movie. again you would learn techniques and information to keep you looking young and sexy!! Fun Fun Fun!!! If you are interested in any of the above, or would like to hear about other parties, please give me a buzz. I am a stay at home mom in Plainfield - you can contact me through my web-site
www.marykay.com/mjones80162 or via e-mail ____@____.com I hope to hear from you!!!

Also, maybe discuss activities you all can do with your kids at home to save money...
Hi Patti,
I have 2 businesses and I would love to assist you with having fun with either:
1) Tupperware® - a name everyone knows and loves! There is a new catalog with many new products. And right now, there is a HUGE sale on Modular Mates. I offer many different themed events that could be fun for your group. www.my2.tupperware.com/cabass
2) Homemade Gourmet® - I offer easy meal solutions to busy people. Our 4 meals in 4 minutes™ Collections provide you with the tools you need to make meal planning and grocery shopping simple. Statistics show that when families have a meal plan for gathering around the dinner table, they eat fresher, more healthful meals and while spending more time together... spend LESS money on groceries!
We have an interesting concept called smoosh meals; they are easy, inexpensive, healthy and there is a nice variety. The meals are stored in your freezer until you want to prepare: in a crock pot, baked or grilled. Average cost per meal for 4 can be around $5.

Hi, I would just have FUN, FUN, FUN and have some adult/silly time just for you (Although it always goes back to those darn kids)!!!! Maybe have some wine and everyone can bring an appetizer/dessert - and play games. There are such good games out there that would be fun!!! Taboo is one of my favorites (you could switch up teams) or Scattegories is awesome for a few people or up to 8 I think!!!! Have FUN - we deserve it!!!!
We like to do a "Girl's Night In". I told everyone to bring their FAVORITE comfort food - someone showed up with Ice Cream and Chocolate Sauce, another with Crab Rangoon and even someone with a White Castle crave case! They were told to bring a favorite drink only if they wanted to, but I would have wine on hand. The dress was comfy "I can't believe I am leaving the house in this" outfits. Basically the most comfortable outfit you own. Everyone brought slippers and each brought a movie. We were going to do hand treatments and watch movies, but we just ate and talked until the wee hours. It was so nice to "come as you are", eat comfort food and talk to your closest pals without a schedule. We are planning on doing it again soon!
Patti,
I'm a lia sophia Advisor and I'd be happy to come, display my jewelry for your friends to try on. I'm not a high pressure sales person and I know how much fun the ladies at my shows have trying on jewelry. It would also fit in with any other activities you have planned and/or I have some theme show ideas. You can learn more about the jewelry as well as my contact info at my website www.liasophia.com/sharonw.
Have a great week!

Hi. I am not sure what kind of evening you had in mind, but I have a wonderful Powerpoint discussion on Masterpieces of Motherhood. I utilize images of museum masterpieces to teach and generate discussions about moms and families throughout time and from around the world. It is a fun, cultural evening and we can even do a hands-on project to tie in the masterpieces and our own families....
Depending on number of participants and if you choose to do the project or not, price is approx. $350.00 for 90 minutes...
Just a thought...
Good luck,
L.

Massage night. You can often hire someone to come into the home and set up eigher a chair or a table and do massages for 10min - 1hour for a reduced rate for a party. (If you have a lot of moms I would limit the time so everyone has a chance and send out an email sign up before hand. If you know who is interested you can do the "appointments" to save people not wanting to go first and wasting time deciding who goes next because nobody wants to be rude or pushy. After the relaxing experience you don't have to rush home. You can sit around and ejoy the moment. You as the hostess can be last and then just go to bed! While you wait you can play games, watch a movie, just talk. Also, we brought our wedding photos to a MNO (of course if not all the moms are married this is not something to do) you can do yearbooks or just funny old photos.
I had a "Wedding Album Party" once. It was a lot of fun and I'll do it again, definately. It works best with 10 or less, but everyone brings their wedding photos and any other memorabelia. I made girly food (tea cakes, fruit tarts, sugared fruit etc., and a little wedding cake of course!) and we had a ton of fun looking at those books you keep on a shelf and never break open anymore! It is also a lot of fun if you can vary the ages. I did it with my ladies bible study group and we spanned at least 2 decades. It was a great way to celebrate our marriage and remember our lives BEFORE the kiddies took over! :-)
EDITED TO ADD:
I just remembered another idea...my sister-in-law had a "Frito's and Flop-Flops" party. Everyone wore flip flops and there were prizes for the fanciest ones, the nicest pedicure etc. (I think she even kept the theme with flip flop shaped soap and candles etc. for prizes). All the snacks were Fritos related dips and salads. It'd be a fun way to bring a "little summer" into this snowy winter, too! You might try birthdaypartyideas.com. They have a LOT more than just birthday party ideas...
Have fun!
When my mom's group get together at our houses we usually play board games.
Yoga can be provided for your group at local yoga studio or at your house (private session is possible).
This can include aromatherapy and simple partner shoulder massage.
I would be happy to do a free lecture on what to look for in a music teacher for your child. or "Does my child have music talent: tips for parents on nurturing and developing your child's ability." I have been a music teacher and professional musician for lots of years!
Email me if you are interested.
