These are so fun! I've done this, years ago, with a small group and we did facials and each person picked a movie to watch, complete with popcorn which each person designed. My long time friend did sundae's with everyone bring their own toppings one time and pizza's with the same "topping" concept another. My DD has done massages at her cousins when the bridesmaids got together for a Girls Night IN.

Other ideas, each person could bring their favorite game you could do facials (I do those types of presentations in my business and the ladies seem to have fun), old time candies and guessings games, reliving the era or music that they grew up in as a singing marathon could be fun. Each lady could bring a dish along with the recipe for that dish, one copy for each one there and also bring their recipe books to share ideas. The ideas are endless.

It sounds like a wonderful way to bond with friends.

Blessings
K.

I had a friend who did a friends dinner party. The main course was pasta, but she set up different stations around her kitchen to make homemade sauce and a salad. There was wine and app's set up aroud the kitchen, too. They partnered up and moved from station to station, cutting, dicing and making the sauce and salad. She had little instruction cards at each station and said it was a blast, something different and everyone got involved.

Every year, I have about 8 friends over for the holidays, at my home. My family leaves the home, goes out for pizza and shopping and the home is mine!) I make a few appetizers and provide drinks and ambience. Others bring appetizers and, really, we sit around and talk for 5 hours. I have some lively friends and the conversation never wanes. Moms just want to relax and be with other grown-ups! Keep it easy. Getting your hands on a "Jenga - truth or dare - game, or some ice breaker question cards may be fun if you are getting to know these ladies. Nothing too racy or revealing.

I was involved in a bunco group and that was very fun, too, and we met once a month. Unfortunately, we had a major change in schedules and lost a couple people. In retrospect, we went month-to-month with our dates and we should have posted our full schedule at the beginning of the year. So, if you decide to get a bunco group going, grab the calendar and post those dates early.

I don't know if you know anyone who does this but some friends and I asked a couple of girls who do nails to come to someone's house and do manicures and pedicures (for a fee, of course). All the girls were drinking and eating appetizers and socializing while getting pampered.

I haven't personally done this but my sister in law just went to a "My favorite things" party. A woman hosted it and everybody had to bring three favorite things. It could be anything(and you obviously don't have to bring the "thing" for everyone). A favorite website, book, food, resturant, makeup, hair salon or spa, etc etc. Some people got samples of the makeup and one woman got 10% off certificates for the spa she was telling about. My sister in law had a huge list of all these great things after! It sounded like fun!

Our group of ladies is a pretty quite group. We like to go out to someplace like Chili's and then to a movie or maybe a play and stop off for pie or coffee. We all just enjoy sitting around talking. Most of our children of 17 years and above. We now like our quite time with just the ladies laughing and having a good time.
