I want to start making yummy smoothies for the whole family and would love your favorite recipes! I have bought some protein powder by EAS and frozen strawberries and was interested to see how you other mommas make your healthy yummy smoothies. It doesn't have to be only strawberry smoothies, we love all fruit around here! Thanks!

6 oz water, a scoop of vanilla whey, a handful of berries.

If someone is trying to gain weight, use milk in place of water.

If your family likes yogurt (mine does), add 1/4 cup of plain yogurt with live cultures.

Smoothies are great! I use 1 cup yogurt, 1 cup soy milk, 2 tablespoons of ground flax seed, and 1 cup of frozen berries/fruit. Sometimes I throw in a frozen banana. I like to freeze the bananas so I don't have to add ice that can water it down. You can play with the ingredients to get the consistency that you like. With this recipe you will make enough for your family. www.allrecipes.com has several recipes on their site.

We've made our smoothies a few different ways with the EAS powder. Sometimes we use 1 cup skim milk and then add our fruit. Then other times we've used the Light & Fit Vanilla yogurt by Dannon (less sugar); probably 1/2 to 1 cup and add our fruit. Lately, I've used 1 cup CHILLED water with my powder and fruit choices. I agree, you just have to experiment a little to see what you like.

We use the Arbonne protein powders, they are all natural and come in 3 flavors and to them I add raw honey, whole milk natural yogurt if we want, ice and then the kiddos pick from strawberries, blue berries, rasberries, grapes, mango, peach, oranges, watermelon, cantelope and they love to push the buttons and watch it all smooth out. For me I also add a tablespoon of flax seed oil and sometimes even my just barley greens.
EAS contains the following Ingredients:
PROTEIN BLEND (WHEY PROTEIN CONCENTRATE AND WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE), NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVORS, ACESULFAME POTASSIUM AND SUCRALOSE (SPLENDA BRAND)

We are very careful not to put the artificial flavors or sugars in our bodies so I gave up the EAS and went to Arbonne. Hope this helps
