Nope. You'll just feel uncomfortable. If you can get a copy of "What to expect when you're expecting", it'll tell you what's normal and what's not. :)

You already have the answer, but I had to laugh because I remember one meal out where I TOTALLY overindulged while pregnant. I had two fruit shakes BEFORE the meal, which was at a Cuban restaurant. The Cubans are not known to skimp when it comes to portion size either, lol. My husband and I still laugh about it years later.
You can not crush the baby by filling your stomach too full.
WHAT you eat may effect the baby. If you consistently eat unhealthy food. But eating normal, healthy foods is good for you and therefore good for the baby. And if someday you eat something that may not be considered "good for you" but you enjoy it, it won't hurt the baby either.
How MUCH you eat will also effect the baby. Starving yourself so you do not gain a lot of weight is bad for you and therefore bad for the baby. But eating normal, healthy meals is good for both of you. And if occasionally you over eat something, it will not make a single bit of difference to the baby.
