six months is a darling age for christmas photos, but i guarantee she won't care what is in her stocking...i'd say either put stuff she needs (socks, hair bows, a christmas bib, maybe a new christmas teether), stuff YOU want (candy!), or just forgo the stocking for this year.

Fisher Price Peek-a-blocks, My little ponies, a small stuffed doll or stuffed animal, weebles, bath toys, pacifiers (if you used them), Gerber snacks (if you have started her on finger foods), maybe the new round crayons to let her start coloring with (they fit in the palm of their hand), a hand held car (but not as small as hotwheels), a video/dvd/music...at this point, she may not be able to unwrap any of them and probably won't spend much time on them...this is mostly for you and pictures more than anything so I wouldn't go too overboard (goodness knows I did and it just sat for the longest time until they grew into the toys...just plain silly).

Good Morning B., She is at that wonderful cuddly age. Snuggles galore.. Get some little soft books, soft balls that rattle or squeak, fabric stacking blocks, ANything soft, cuddly, fuzzy, different textured things. New baby doll, if she doesn't have a lovey you could get that.

I love Christmas time, especially love it when the babies get covered with sticky bows.. :))
Babies this age really don't care but the pictures we get are worth a Millon smiles to last a lifetime.
God Bless you B., what a precious gift.

We were in the same spot last year! We got our little one a teething ring, some little squishy toys and treats that we don't usually get like the Gerber Puffs. Honestly, she's not going to care, but it'll be fun for you. :) Take lots of pictures!!

How about a keepsake ornament? A blanket buddy ( my son is two and still sleeps with his) A cd with nursery rhymes/kid songs ( my personal favorite for playing at nap times is Kenny Loggins More Songs From Pooh Corner, or what about some chunky board books, babies LOVE them. Pop blocks are cute they are made by fisher price. A rubber ducky
( Walmart usually has seasonal duckies in the baby aisle)
Hope you and baby have a magical first Christmas...its all really for you,at 6 months babies don't know any better = )

When my kids were babies, we would fill their stockings with all of their favorite things: binkies, baby snacks that they could eat, socks, etc. Sometimes we also included a small toy, but I tried to not go overboard since they didn't seem to notice what they were opening. Babies at Christmas are wonderful...enjoy! :)

Small rattles, toys that are age appropriate. I am not sure what your daughter will be eatign at that time but if she is to that point yet, there are some great small snacks called puffs and other crackers that are age appropriate.

My daughter was in the same position as a baby! We gave her some baby toys (teething rings, toy cell phone, etc.) and she loved it!
