I have gone through SO many diaper bags and have my second baby now, so i just can't deal with an over the shoulder diaper bag falling off my arm and knocking over my 2 year old. I need a recommendation for a back pack diaper bag that ALSO will hang on the back of the stroller AND is easily accesible to get in and out of fast.....so no flaps in the way! Fussy, aren't i? Any suggestions?? THANKS!!!

So What Happened?

THANK YOU all so much!
I think i found my perfect diaper bag!
:)
I went to one of the links to get a ju-ju-be bag......little dudes and diva's i think it was..........so i found this diaper bag that is a back pack and doesn't have the flap on top so i can access inside it easily while it's hanging on the stroller......i did purchase the special, more comfortable straps to use it as a back pack, and then used the strap it came with to put on for going over the stroller......so it has all three of my MUST HAVE requirements!!
:)
Fussy mommy.......but hey, when you are busy and on the go you have to be organized and have what you need handy!
:)
So i ordered it and got it TODAY already, which is great. So far so good.
Thanks for all the great tips.
I do have a 12 dollar backpack that i was using for a while that i love as a diaper bag too like a few people mentioned, but it just doesn't go over the stroller properly and was too casual for some of my outings..........and of course (i know, ANOTHER requirement) i wanted something i could use ALL the time so i don't have to switch my stuff out from one bag to another......because then i become disorganized!!
:)
So thanks everyone!!!

Hi, I have also tried many. My latest and one that I am very happy with is a Ju Ju Be. My sister wanted one for her baby that I got her as a gift, but when it arrived I saw how great it was and had to have one myself. http://www.ju-ju-be.com/ They are great and have an antibacterial lining which is great. We took a trip recently on an airplane and an entire bottle spilled in the bag without me knowing it. It was easily cleaned up when I realized it the next day and there is no residual smell. Great bad. If you want to order they have links ont their website to online stores. I highly recommend Kiwi Kid. They also have stroller clips so that it can easiy attach to any stroller. Love it.

The diaper bag from Lands End is the best! I know 4 other moms who swear by them and they are only $30.00. It is a great bag, well made, etc. but my favotite thing is how wide it opens. It opens like an old Dr.'s bag and the inside is light blue (instead of black which makes it so hard to see anything). Even my husband likes this bag and how functional it is. http://www.landsend.com/pp/DoItAllDiaperBag-76264_109422_...

Good Morning - I just got my July issue of Redbook and it has a article about new improved diaper bags designed by moms. I've been checking out the website to see which one I want to order. Some of them are backback forms and they also clip onto strollers. So here's the different web sites if you want to check them out too. Good luck. D.

for the life of me, I cannot remember the brand (my husband has it in the car!!) but I have a backpack diaper bag that is very comfortable to wear and it has two smaller straps that can be snapped around the stroller handles...I love it! It carries the baby's gear as well as most of mine!

And if wanting what you want makes you fussy...can I join your fussy club? :) LOL

Forget the diaper bag, go for a regular back pack! I got mine at Target for $20 and LOVE it! Padded straps, two mesh side pockets for sippy cups/water bottles, and four seperate zip compartments. I put diapers/wipes in one, snacks in one, clothes in another, and the smallest compartment for sunscreen, lotion, etc. I can fit a ton in there and its great for traveling on a plane. It's so easy. Look in the school section for regular backpacks, you won't be disappointed.

Hi! I had this same problem and after my third child found a bag where I can keep everything from my purse and diaper bag organized together, and it's really cute! It's made by Gigi Hill, and I actually started selling these bags after buying my first because I like them soo much. You can go onto their website at Gigihillbags.com and order one, or I also do house parties where you can see them in person. They don't look like a typical diaper bag, which makes it more fun as a mom, to be able to stay organized and stylish! I don't know where you live, but I'm having a boutique on the 29th in Oceanside. Anyway, if you want to check out the website and decide to get one if you would just put my name on there, S., so that I can get the recognition for the sale. I'm a really big bag fan, and I think you'll really love what you see! Let me know if you have any questions:)

I have gone through several diaper bags in the past 5 years. I'm always looking for the right size, color etc. I think I've purchased 5 different ones and also a diaper dude for my husband. Out of all of the diaper bags I've purchased I love the diaper dude the best because of the 3 outside zippers, roomy inside and it lays accross the chest. They're messenger bags and great for organization. They're worth checking out.

I SO recommend the Ju-Ju-Be bags.... I have 2 of them and they are a HUGE help! The insides of the are made with a anti bacterial type of lining, and the outside is made of ADORABLE fabrics with Teflon. They are very durable and have a ton of little goodies on them... If you go to the website you can read all about the bags, and see the different types and fabrics.... good luck! It took me almost 4 years ( between when my oldest was born and youngest) to find one that was perfect!

Hi fellow FLY lady follower! I know how it is to try to get the house organized when you have children. I am a first time mom with 4 pets and with major indoor allergies so having a clean and organized home, not to mention life is a MUST.

What I have learned so far is that the traditional diaper bags are not always the same. The bag I purchased is good but for busy moms we NEED best. My suggestion to you is to get what works for YOU. What I have discovered is that the essentials is to have a nice BIG BAG where you have easy access with just 1 hand. My recommendations it to get a big see through tote bag that is washable OR wipeable (tons of spit-up and stuff can ruin a bag easily). I saw several on sale at Target. Purchase a washable/wipeable changing pad. Get a washable/wipeable bottle/food tote made by Munchkin to get in the diaper bag. Just a few plastic bags and ziplock bags to store soiled diapers or clothing and you are good to go.

Another option is to get a good sized backpack that is also washable with lots of outdoor pockets to keep everything organized. It will also keep your hands free when you are carrying your child out of the car.

Here are some suggested diaperbags and solutions I have discovered online.....
* JJ Cole System Bag
* GR8X Baby Traveler Deluxe Diaper Bag
* JL Childress Family Gear Bag

I hope this helps! Good luck!

I also tried a dozen different diaper bags. Then I stole my husbands backpack. I works great! It doesn't fall off my shoulder, it hangs on the back of the stroller, it has different compartments for everything, and my husband doesn't mind carrying it.

I love my Baby Innovations back pack diaper bag! It has a hook on it to hang on a stroller hook and it has two snap-straps on the shoulder straps that can attach it to a number of things! I have had it for two and a half years now and still love it. Unfortunatly since I have had it for so long I can not find it anywhere except on craigslist. This one though I noticed has a clip on the handle which would allow the same thing.

I also just got one of these for short day trips and grocery shopping. Also great for going out to dinner when you get to the point where a lot of toys aren't needed.

Good luck on your hunt! I'll let you know if I find one closer to the one I have.

My very favorite diaper bag, was a back pack that I found at a sporting goods store I think. It was durable, it had lots of pockets that were easily accessible, no flaps, and lots of medium sized pockets.
I could use the biggest pocket for diapers and cloths, the medium pocket for bottles and snacks. And the smallest pocket I put "my stuff" in wallet, keys, ect. It's had some smaller outer pockets as well that I put rash cream in and other things I wanted to keep with me but that I didn't want to rummage through every time I opened the bag.

No suggestion for a diaper BAG, but a great product: BOOMERINGS® Links, Item #1100

These are handy clip-on rings, flexible links so you can attach toys, pacifiers, keys, etc. to highchair, stroller, car seat, etc.

They still retain their shape after bending! (AND the sturdy links help children practice counting and learning colors)

24 rings, each 2" (5cm) long. $7.99 - perfect for a mom on the go!

I WOULD recommend the petunia pickle bottom diaper bags, since it has backpack straps and a shouler strap, and hangs nicely on the back of strollers. But it also has a flap, so it doesn't quite fall into what your looking for. But, I think it's pretty accessible, and it comes with a built in diaper pad. Good Luck with your search!
