Step Stool Suggestion

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a little kid step stool (like for using the bathroom sink, getting into booster seat, getting on couch, etc.) that is safe. I have primarily wood floors. But if I need to buy a piece of rug to put it on then fine. But I'm looking for one that will not tip over or slip and that is sturdy to get through a couple to a few years. And can you tell me where to purchase it as well. Thank you.

What can I do next?

I am a mother of 2 boys 5 & 2 1/2. Target has a nice wooden 2 level step stool that has worked great for us. Its usually found in the kids bedroom ensambles/childrens accessories dept. It looks nice with the wood and seems to be made quite well. Hope this helps.

Its been about 5 years since I bought ours (goes to show you how long it has lasted) but it was either at WAlmart or Toys R Us, and I still see them, its a KidsII step stool, and its great! It still looks brand new, it has rubber grips on the bottom and the kids have never tipped on it - very sturdy - GOOD LUCK :)

It's been a couple years for me too, but I also have the little white Rubbermaid stools from Walmart or Target. (One is even generic, not officially Rubbermaid.) They are very sturdy, we still use them all the time. And mine has rubber pads on the feet so it doesn't slip on my hardwood floors, or tile in the bathroom. I don't think it's something you need to spend a ton of money on.

I have just bought the plain white rubbermaid step stool at Publix. It's down the paper towel aisle at my Publix with the other plastic stuff. It's just a single step, one piece, with 4 legs that have a rubber no-slip foot on the bottom. I like it because it's bigger than the toddler step stools you see, and therefor more sturdy and not likely to tip unless they really put all of their weight on one edge. I actually have bought 3 of them - one to keep in her bathroom, one that we keep in the kitchen so she can see at counter level and help, and one that we keep at my FIL's house. My daughter is 3 and we've been using these stools for probably the last year and a half.
