The SUN!! I cloth diaper so stains can be a part of life if you let them lol but I have found just laying or hanging something in te sun will bleach out just about anything!

For biological stains (blood, urine, feces, vomit), I spray the stain with hydrogen peroxide, let it bubble up, and wash in COLD water.

Since having kids I have been battling the stain problem daily!! My kids seem to spill and dirty everything they own! I have tried almost everything. Usually for stains I let detergent or clorox 2 sit on the stain for 24 hours and then wash. This only works some of the time and the last time I used Clorox 2 is bleached out the dress :( I recently found a line of products that I like. It's called Legacy of Clean by Amway. They are all natural and really do work! I went from buying them to selling them so if you are interested in more information let me know. I got tired of spending so much time in the laundry room trying to save my kids clothes! Good luck!

I second the Resolve spray - it does work great. BUT when I'm going through my kids' clothes to pass on to my niece I do eliminate the clothes that I couldn't get the stains out of. And I always find that somehow there are pieces that remain stain free :)

Sometimes with blowouts I just toss the onesie b/c it's not worth the trouble! But if it's adorably cute, I rinse the loose poop then soak it in a bucket with HOT water and Oxyclean powder!!

I literally just pulled out some old onesies and outfits from my daughter (now 6) and saw yellow stains either on the butt or up where she spit up. Ewwww. Sure enough I soaked them in Oxyclean overnight and then threw them in a hot cycle. Most of the stains came out!!! Unbelievable!

OXICLEAN... and now i use an "oxi clean" made by Green Works. i soak the clothes in a concentrated soak - i put about as much as i would for a whole wash in about 1- 2 gallons of water, soak for 24hrs+ (depending on stain) then i dump the whole bucket into the wash with the other clothes. i dont add any extra oxi, just detergent and wash a regular cycle. i actually never wash in warm or hot water and the stains always come out!

Soak in hot water(or pre-wash in hot if your machine has the capability), and wash in warmest water the clothing allows. And I throw some oxyclean in the hot water pre-wash, and if the stain is still there before washing I will spray some oxyclean spray on as well. I never have stains when i do this.

Here's what I've used on white clothes with stains--a spray of Clorox Cleanup, the bleach cleaner you'd clean your bathroom with. I spray the stain and wash it immediately. It usually takes any stain out. When my kids were little, little I always rewashed the clothing because it would smell like bleach after the first wash.

This, obviously, only works on white clothes.

Pet enzyme cleaner - I grabbed it out of panic when cleaning projectile off our couch and it did a wonderful job. Started using it for stains from both ends of the baby, on clothes, curtains, furniture, carpet, etc. Its great stuff! For yellowish stains, hanging things in the sun does wonders. Good luck!

I often get comments, but my son (20 months) always has a bib over his shirt. They are comfy terry-cloth.......he doesn't seem to mind... I sometimes get comments and will take them off... but the second I do, that's when he spills chocolate milk or some other food on his shirt.

my kids never tolerated bibs (and I never forced them to) so I've always used Resolve laundry spray - works awesome.

Oxyclean is the secret a lot of moms mention, but my own mom taught me the biggest secret - use HOT water in a bucket to dissolve it, then soak for a few hours (pretty much until water is cool) then wash in warmest water the garment can take.

Also, I'm a fan of the "How to clean everything" book from Consumer reports. I use it religiously, plus googling. For blueberries, boiling water from a height is the best! Silly I know, but works on clothes and tablecloths.

good luck!
