I want my 4 year old son to start learning spanish. I am not sure of the best way for me to do this...tutor or videos. However, I think that it would be best for me to start him early because he is very advanced for his age. He can listen to a song and remember most of the words better than I can. If anyone knows of a tutor or of a good DVD, let me know. I would prefer a tutor and incooperate video. My son is now in Preschool, where they introduce a some words.

I think this is an excellent endeavor. 4 is the perfect age to work on becoming bilingual. So much easier than when you are an adult! I have heard and experienced wonderful things at Smarta School. They offer both a bilingual preschool - speaking roughly 80-90% in Spanish the entire day - and tutoring services. You can find out more about them at:

They are super nice. The director, Martha, and all the teachers couldn't be sweeter. She is perfect with the kids, gets great results, and is very helpful. Give her a call... if you live too far away she might be able to find someone who can help you.

Good luck!

What days and time do you need a tutor? My husband or me could tutor your child. We live in Tucker

Rosetta Stone has a homeschool version...a friend of mine has it and loves it! There is a cheaper version called The Easy Spanish that I have, and it is found at theeasyspanish.com. They also have French as well. You can get the flashcards, it's along a story line and there is a song CD too.
