So I'm still in the hospital and man it hurts to be lonely and I miss my daughter so so much.
I talk to her on the phone
DH send me pictures of her doing whatever
I send her pictures of me.
But I still hurt I turn to you ladies for amusing stories jokes support anything to get my mind off of missing home.

My games and the kindle app and YouTube and tv only do so much...

I can see her in the cafeteria or lobby but I dnt wanna risk her getting sick because I would feel just awful.
I dnt know what else to do?

Anything at all is appreciated

(On a side note) still waiting on results. They know it's a viral infection but there's so many they are ruling em out. No bacterial meningitis, but maybe virus meningitis, west nile, encephalitis (sp? ) stomach virus that reach my brain and others I'm not so familiar with.
And doing many more tests but the headaches neck pain and vomiting are all gone
Been off pain meds for almost two days now.
Pray for me to hopefully go home tomorrow if the tests all come negative.

TIA
E.<3

Well... my son and DIL just announced to the world that Baby #2 is on the way. They waited quite a while to make it public, because they have lost babies, but now everything looks pretty good. If DIL had to go into the hospital she'd be missing Baby #1, their two-year-old, the way you're missing your almost-two-year-old.

But, again, be thankful that your girl's receiving loving care while you're there. Not every baby has that privilege. You didn't want to be apart from her, but you're getting good care, you're off pain meds, the yucky head and stomach are being nicer to you, and you know some of the things you DON'T have.

I hope you'll be on the receiving end of some good care once you get home, too. It doesn't sound as if you can just bounce back once you're through your front door.

You're being a good mama for suffering on your own so that your little one won't suffer with - whatever it is.

If I lived in your neighborhood I'd be bringing you books! I don't know what Kindle has. Can you call somebody to bring you some real books? Last time I was hospitalized (with a fracture), I had books at home that I was working my way through, but for the hospital I wanted nothing but fluff! And my children came up with some for me - kids' books and very old British mysteries. It gave my brain a little vacation from the medical setting for a while.

Praying for you, yes!

LAST Friday, the Bank made a mistake on our daughter's checking account (she is out of state at college).

So today, I went in to get it all straightened out. For about 1 minute.. they accidentally transferred 38 MILLION dollars into her account! Instead of crediting her the $38. fee for the mistake they had made..
I tried to get them to just leave it in there and pretend they had not noticed, but they said they could not do that.... Darn... so close.

I went to my friends house and we were dreaming of what we would do with 38 million dollars.. We decided we would be very generous.

I was in the hospital for an entire week when my sons were one and two. I was still nursing the one year old. They said I had toxic shock syndrome, it was in it's hayday in the early 80's and since they couldnt figure out what was wrong with me they decided it was that.
Just keep thinking of all the catching up you have to do when you get home and be thankful you have a husband watching things for you.
If you spent any time today reading all of our crazy posts and our new fascination with adding symbols to our names you should have been somewhat slightly entertained ;)
I praying for Godspeed on your recovery.
It's 3:30am here right now, don't know why I'm awake :(
I know you can't get any rest in the hospital, it's so noisy in there at night, all the more reason to get well and GET OUT of there!!

Okay to try to cheer you:

Make sure your gown is closed so when you get out of bed to pee so you
don't give the doctors a show (remember this is to make you laugh) :)

Toot quietly. They can hear e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g in those echo-y rooms.

Envision the next doctor or nurse that walks in in their underwear(from the
Brady Bunch when we were kids). Hey, worth a laugh.

Beans, beans. The magical fruit. The more you eat, the more you toot.

Turn the comedy channel on your TV in the room if you get that channel.

Your daughter is just fine w/dad! He loves her & this is good time
together.

You will be home soon AND you will be fine! I am thinking good thoughts
and praying for you!

For some reason earlier this week/late last week, every time I set up the coffee for the AM (it's on a timer), the grounds would get in the coffee and we'd have to re-filter our coffee. Yesterday, DH said the coffee was great, but he went in the freezer and put some grounds in his cup because it didn't seem right otherwise.

(He was kidding about adding the grounds, but his dead-pan delivery was hilarious at 6 AM.)

Well, I ate a lame candy bar today. It's called Hershey's Air Delight, and if you'd like to pay full price for a candy bar that's basically empty inside, go ahead and try one! It won't cheer you up, though...it bummed me out. I figured it would be that way, too...but I gave the candy bar the benefit of the doubt. LAST TIME.
