Hi S.,
I am unfamiliar with ebay, but if you have a lot of baby stuff, I know the store "Once Upon a Child" buys baby stuff from you. Hope this helps.

Has anybody ever used this service? How does it work, do you make any money? I am going thru a divorce right now and obviously will not be having any children any time soon, and need to move as well, so I am looking to get rid of all my baby stuff and don't know where to start. I have sold personally on ebay before and had ok experiences, but now I just don't have the time, so I would really appreciate any info or advice you have, thank you in advance

craigs list is the way to go no fees set your price and be done
If you use this service be prepared to give up 40% of the profit plus pay for all the fees. This is not a cheap service but they take care of everything for you.
This service knows how to sell your items but it is not a good way to make much money unless you have items with will sell for quite a bite of money. Childrens clothes do not sell well on ebay unless they are new with tags still attached.
have you tried "Once Upon A Child"? Great place to get rid of children's items that are in great shape. "once Upon a Child" also took some toys at one time but not sure any more.
You also could consider donating their used clothing to a place like the Sparrow Nest. Profit from Sparrow Nest goes to women and children that need a place to stay because they needed to leave an unsafe home. You would be able to write it off on your taxes as a donation.
Just an idea.

Smaller items and clothing will sell very well on ebay. I sell my son's outgrown items and use the money to buy new. I have been selling since May 2001 and I make pretty good money. Just make sure to charge enough for shipping and handling, and keep in mind that ebay keeps a big chunk of your profit if your item sells. I usually charge about $9.50 to ship a lot of 4 pairs of boys jeans, for example.
If you are looking to sell larger items, large toys, strollers, etc, I would definitely recommend craigslist.
Good luck!
I'd go with Craig's List too. It's more local and you may want to consider selling your things in "lots" - like 10 outfits at a time or something. That will save you time and money.
try craigslist for local pick up, no postage, cash exchange
smaller things will sell well on ebay, bigger things like cribs and strollers are better on craigslist.
there is a service on ebay called a trading assistnat, they will seel for you for a fee, usually around 30 % of the profit.
i am a trading assistant, depending on where you are i could help you.
i have never sold through sold it, im sure they charge around 30% also.
it really depends on what sort of baby items you have and their condition etc as to how much money you will make, gymboree baby clothes sell well, generic clothes dont make that much.
Craigslist is a lot simpler, especially with larger items.
you are better off selling it on craigslist or the local paper. Good luck
I've personally bought household, clothes, ipods, as well as baby items from napervilleyardsales.com
I use craigslist. Many buyers and all in the same city!
I noticed alot of people recommended Craigslist, I completely agree with them. I sell alot of girls clothing in lots (if anyone is interested I have tons of girls items nb-4T). My husband has been laid off and I've been a homemaker so this really help make "some" ends meet. As far as selling them to the re-sale shops just be informed that you don't make anywhere close to what you can make on Craigslist. I give it a 5 star I love it for selling & purchasing!!!!
S.,
Try Craig's list. It's a more local audience than ebay and if you're pricing to sell, you should get good results. Otherwise, there are consignment shops, Once Upon a Child, and resales that churches and organizations have but their usually spring and fall and it sounds like there is urgency to move your stuff. If all else fails donate it and claim it as a tax deduction.
Good Luck

Avoid the shipping fees by using Craig's list.
