I had a diaper service for all three of my babies. I never even once noticed a smell, except the smell of clean.
I would def discuss it with them.
Bleck.

Hi Mamas and Daddies,
I used cloth diapers for our first two babies, washed them ourselves, and I never noticed a urine smell in ours. Today, I received our first shipment of diaper service diapers (3rd baby due next week), and I immediately smelled urine. They provide a diaper pail and bag to put them in, so I thought that was it. I just smelled a clothy (as we like to call the diapers), and I think it smells like pee. Is this just a fact of life with a diaper service? I have a super sensitive sense of smell even when I'm not pregnant. I'm thinking of cancelling the diaper service and doing on our own again.
Thoughts? Does your diaper service get the smell out?
Thanks
Thanks everyone. After airing them out, I think that it might have been more the fact that they are delivered in a bag that also transports dirty diapers. They don't really smell anymore, but I will have my husband do the sniff test tonight and I'll call the company if we are still concerned. It's a reputable company, and they claim to have a 3rd party who inspects the diapers.

I would call them and talk to them about it.
Years ago I worked with the handicap assisting them at thier work. A group of them worked at a diaper cleaning agency. When we inspected them there couldn't be any stains or frays... let alone any odor other than a clean smell!! If they had any of the above they had to be treated and rewashed until clean.
I don't think this is nomal. I would call the Diaper service and ask for some new diapers. Maybe it came from a bad batch. They should not have a urine smell to them.
Ditto to Theresa N...
Call the company, I hope it works out, I used a diaper service for all three of my kids and LOVED it!
Okay, now I would have a problem with the fact that clean diapers are transported in the same bag as dirty diapers have been in. Is that really sanitary?
My husband calls me a bloodhound. I have very low tolerence for smells!
If you have a sensitive nose, it is going to be a problem every week.
(Also love that you use cloth diapers! I loved using cloth, but never used a service.)
I really just recommend doing it on your own. You have no idea how well they do or do not clean those diapers. You don't know what chemicals they are using... I could go on and on.
I used a service with my first and never noticed a smell when the clean diapers arrived. i would call the service and let them know. I did however have a hard time with the diapers stinking up the house as they waited around to be picked up. Our service came every week - that is too long for used diapers to be sitting around in the house. We started taking them in batches out to the garage about every other day.
