Sleepers with Feet, Size 18 Months

I am wondering which sleepers have worked best for you. I prefer the ones with feet in them, and we do like Carters. The light weight summer ones from The Children's Place have too much pull on them, meaning, my son can crawl right out of them..... What has worked for you, and at what age did you introduce a blanket into their crib? Thanks!!

What can I do next?

HI Jennifer
I really like Carters. But i use just about all brands. I prefer the cozy fleece ones in the winter. My only suggestion is getting the ones that have a zipper instead of buttons. So much easier to get on/off when changing a diaper!! My daughter started liking a blanket around 11 months. I felt comfortable giving her one by then too.

I love the sleepers with feet and buy the ones from TCP. Their sizing is usually a size bigger than the age of your child. Ex: my daughter is almost 2 and she is just now fitting into 24mos size. That is because they go from size 24 mos to 3T, there is not 2T. I have always found their clothes to fit larger, along with Carters.

You can find footed sleepers also at the Carters store and at Carson's and I think JC Penney.

I have just started introducing a blanket for my 22mo old and she doesn't really know how to use it. My almost 4 yr old didn't start really understanding how to stay under the blanket until she was a little 3 and I started at 2 1/2.

My favorite pj's are from Carters. They last a long time and the fit is generous in the bigger sizes. You can get footed pjs up to size 8 at the outlet. My kids have always had at least one blanket in their crib since birth. When they were newborns, they were swaddled in it. As they grew, I would just cover them up with one blanket.

I agree the Carter's with feet are the best .I've tried the disney store ones also they run a little smaller. Have you tried two piece Carter's and put on socks? That's what we do in the summer.FYI Carter's stops making sleepers with feet that snap on top in fleece at 18 months. They make a long sleeve 24 month with snap on top in a fall weight. We had to switch to gerber (BBRUs)to get fleece ones that snap in a 2t or 3t (they run very small).Make sure you see the snap, I bought gerber ones at Target and they didn't have a snap.
We started using blankets(receiving only) at about 14 months. Also we allow a security blanket with bear etc on top and a stuffed animal that doesn't have button eyes only sewn in(for babies) nothing that says three and up.Hope this helps!

I like the sleepers with the feet also. We have Carters and the one's from the disney store are very nice also. The Disney store sleepers are have a good snug fit to them. Those are actually our favorite. My girls (twins 13 months) have had a blanket in their crib since day one, and we have never had a problem.

I also like the Carter's. But for summer we have just been putting him in pajamas either long pants or shorts because his room does not have air conditioning. Also, he hates to have his feet covered. We got them a Sears.

He has had a blanket in his crib since about 6 months with no problem.

We actually prefer the cotton sleepers without feet and just put socks on my son instead. Gymboree and Hannah Anderson make the nicest ones (the HA ones are REALLY soft and nice, though can be $. You can often get them on sale though - especially the really bright holiday-type prints)

As for a blanket, we started using a crib-sized fleece-type blanket in our son's bed at around 6 months (it was winter then), but we would basically lay him on the edge, wrap it over him, and tuck it underneath him again (his arms were out and the blanket was just below his armpits). It stayed tucked all night and was away from his face, so I didn't worry about SIDS with that. Once he was old enough to roll over and sit up I *really* didn't worry about SIDS.

I always used a very light weight blanket for my kids. It was waffle thread with the satin around the edge. My favorite was light weight sleepers were Carters.

I liked the children's place cotton sleepers (w/feet) when my daughter was a newborn. I'm not positive, but I think the sizes go up to 4 or 5t. Watch for sales, sometimes you can get 2 or 3 for a combo/sale price.
I like the feet more so when the weather is cold. My son will usually wear socks to bed. Once potty trained, I thought it wouldn't be a good idea to have one piece pj's.

I too prefer sleepers with feet so that I don't have to put the kids in socks. The tried-and-true brand for my daughter has always been Carters. But I had trouble finding a summer weight sleepers at Carters, with feet, for my son this year in anything larger than 12 months. A couple weeks ago, I found some nice lighter-weight cotton sleepers at Costco from the brand "Little Me." They have long sleeves (which I also prefer, since my son is not using a blanket yet). The material weight is great for when the air conditioner is on, but a touch too heavy for a really warm, humid night with windows open.

I think "Little Me" is carried at some nicer Dept. stores, but I'm not sure which ones. I was at Costco this weekend and saw that they still had the sleepers. The size runs to 4T.

I didn't put a blanket in my daughters crib until she was about 20 months old. But I'm sure that is MUCH later than most people! My son does not have one yet. Maybe this winter.
