I was just looking for any fun, simple ideas for a sleepover.. the kids pretty much entertain themselves but I always try to think of things they can do that would be different and fun for "aunties" house..my kids are 6 (girl) and 4 (boy) and my nephews are also 6 and 4...thanks in advance for any ideas!

What can I do next?

Have a Pinata, just for fun. It does not have to be only for birthdays.
You can even make one with a brown paper bag, glue on crepe paper, decorations, stuff it with simple goodies, and staple it shut. Then hang it up and let the kids go at it.

Have a treasure hunt.

Make crafts, with paper plates. Make it a paper plate theme. Anything they want to make.

all the best,
Susan

How cute! My sister's kids are the same age as mine (2 yrs apart) but I have 2 boys and she has a boy/girl. My nephew would arrive with a back pack which contained pajamas, toothbrush, clothes for 2morrow and TOYS. My niece arrived with her pull along Barbie luggage, 3 changes of clothes, nail polish, dolls, hair bows, etc. lol. Make some cookies (even ready-to-bake, but they decorate), or popcorn or microwave s'mores -graham cracker on napkin/plate, big marshmallow on cracker. zap 10 seconds (try that first), then add chocolate and other cracker). Careful, hot. Board games or memory match card games. Have circle story telling- you say, once upon a time... the next one has to say a sentence... there was a frog... etc. the stories get outlandish and silly, but that's the point. Sleep in sleeping bags on the living room floor. Most of all, they will all relish your undivided attention no matter what you do! The first time we took the boys to Disney, they told everyone about the amazing pool with an alligator and jumping from bed to bed at the hotel. Seriously. :-) It's the memories you create, not always 'what' you do.

my daughter suggests making musical instruments out of things like: rain stick with paper towels and rice and wax paper, guitars with rubber bands and shoe boxes, and something she learned at girls scouts: a home made tamborine by using a stick that is fork shaped (like a sling shot) and tie yarn between the 2 ends, and string different sized washers and nuts on it.

They can make their own pizza (super wal-mart sells whole wheat pizza crust), get whatever toppings they like and have them make it! Play board games or puzzles with them. And of course, put in a movie for them. Ice cream! Don't forget that - maybe you can buy vanilla ice cream and a bag of chocolate chips so they have a topping to put on their ice cream.
