Beer :)

We usually do veggies, steamed or roasted. Pasta is a good side too.

Does pizza even need a side? It's got everything already, sauce, cheese, veges, meat and crust, seems like a side would be overkill. Beyond salad everything else feels too heavy for something as filling as pizza.

Maybe forget the side dish and just put spinach on the pizza? Or is this a dish you are taking to someone's house? If so, maybe just some fresh fruit for a caprese salad? I like the roasted veggie suggestion below too.

I do canned green beans.

I drain all the fluid out, add a little butter and some garlic powder, not garlic salt, they're already salted.

I heat them in the microwave a minute or so and they go well with the pizza due to the garlic.

Ooh! This would be an awesome chance to try a spaghetti squash 'mac and cheese' I found online. I love pasta with pizza... But never actually eat it because its just TOO much heavy food. This uses squash instead of noodles. :)

I bet baked green bean or zucchini "fries" would be awesome.

Here is the recipe, if you are interested. (Of course... It may be too much cheese... Lol.)

I don't think you need a side dish at all...it is a meal in itself.

But if you WANT to do something, my kids normally are served fruit or fries with it at restaurants.

Corn on the cob is always good and pasta is perfect but so much more work than a simple salad.

I usually buy salad in the box (spring mix) is my favorite. Then I add carrots, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, sunflower seeds, strawberries, blueberries, black berries, raspberries, yellow bell peppers, and dried cranberries.

What I love best about this salad is I only ever get what is on sale so it turns out slightly different everytime and is so nutricous and delicious.
