Hey moms, I am going on a 7 day cruise in two weeks and I only have a few outfits. Where do you guys shop? All the stores have clothes that are more geared for my daughters rather than me. TIA.

What can I do next?

Cato's and Ross are my absolute favorite stores to shop for clothes if you are on a budget. I can't afford to shop at Macy's Dillards or even Target is way to expensive for me. I just can't see paying $40 for a blouse i can get almost the exact same shirt at Ross or Cato's for $10-$20.

I agree with everything everybody said! Also Shoe Dept and DSW for shoes.
> Pack versatile items - neutrals that you can reuse with differant pieces.
(celebs usually take an outfit, lay it on the bed with accessories and all and take a polaroid.) That gives you a packing list so you dont forget anything.
> Remember to pack items that are wrinkle free. Who wants to iron on vacation.
> 7 day cruise full of endless buffets! Bring stretchy clothes!
> Pack for the weather you are going to encounter.
>Pack a spare outfit in your carryon kuggage in case luggage is delayed.
> Shop and pack for hubby - remember all the picture opprtunities! You dont want him showing up in all the photos in an Im with stupid tshirt! lol
>get the nauseua bracelet and some dramamine
> pack an empty duffel to bring home all the stuff you're going to buy!

Are the shops to which you're referring those that cater to the cruise crowd? If so, try the regular department stores. I wore my regular clothes on the cruise that I took. You don't need anything special. Buy what you feel good wearing.

Keep in mind that closet space is limited. You don't need a different outfit each day. Here is when "mix and match" helps a lot. You probably will need an evening dress or outfit. The rest of the time, depending of course on the cruise line, is probably casual and dressy casual for meals.

I agree with Marda, but if you want some new duds, check out places like Dillard's and Macy's. They probably still have some summer clearance going on too...don't know if you have Dillard's but I just strolled through there and they had a super clearance on swim suits.

Also, for the days at sea, you probably won't really wear clothes, except to dinner, so think about that. On those days I pretty much wore my swimsuit and coverup all day. Make sure you have a cute and functional cover up that you can throw on any time so you can stroll and eat but not have to get dressed.

Cruising is super fun! You will love it!

The JC Penny's at Highland Village TX is full of cute tops and they are on sale. Hopefully, your nearby Pennys is large too and carries the same styles. If you're going to a place with tours, the key is comfortable shoes that aren't brand new. If it's hot, have it light, cottony, airy. I like Steinmart too for great sales and more colorful wear. Now is a great sale time almost everywhere.

Last time I went to Penny's, I bought some items. They told me about the survey I could take to get a 15% coupon online to use next time. Wished I had only paid for a few items and used the coupon for the next trip. course, I had also told the clerk how helpful she'd been and that's when she told me about the survey and her first name (in case I wanted to mention her). I don't know if they offer it to everyone or just the ones that buy so much or compliment the clerks.

S., not sure where you live and if you have Stein Mart around you but that has been one of my favorite places to shop recently. They have everything from dressy to casual to shoes and jewelry, etc... and the prices are really great... I probably sound like a commercial but it's totally true. They also have a men's section (about half the size of women's) but my husband loves it too. The other option is Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack...
