It could be the anti persperant in it. Most deoderants are antipersperant/deoderant combo. My husband is allergic to the antipersperant and I have to be sure when I buy his it says only deoderant. Maybe you have developed an allergy to it?
For years I used the deoderant Secret and it worked great. Then about a year ago I became sensitive to it and started itching from it. I tried all of the other deoderants out there and they all made me itch also. I did find one that only works ok. It's called Naturally Fresh deodorant crystal. It has no paraben/PG or frangrance, now that is starting to make me itch. Do you think it's time to see a doc or can you suggest something else.

I started using Dove for simialr reasons after using Secret for over 10 years. I've had no problems with it. My mom's dermatologist recommended Dove products to her (she has eczema and sensitive skin) also.
your body may be detoxing something; sweating is a way that our bodies naturally detox. the vast majority of deoderaunts sold at regular grocery stores have one common ingredient that prevents sweating- aluminum. not healthy at all, but very effective. run over to a health food store and try their brands because they tend to carry deod that doesn't use aluminum. read ingredients list, of course (of anything you put into your body). most health food stores have a return-if-not-satisfied policy, so that helps with the cost of trial and error. also, make sure you try items that are fragrance-free.

I'm wondering if the itching is from too much dryness. You might want to give this a try. It's a little weird because it does not roll on. It is a cream. You dip your finger in the cream from a jar and put it on with your fingers. It's really nice. It is also paraben free: http://www.shaklee.net/healinghappens/product/30350
Or, some people just don't wear antiperspirant. Can you go without it? Try it for a week and see if it is a big deal.
there was a post about this awhile back....... lots of responses!
Try AaridXX and Degree. I've gone through similiar issues
